Thierry Henry

Thierry Henry used his hand to save the ball which set up the win for France over the Republic of Ireland giving them World Cup Berth. People are calling Henry a cheat, but i've been playing soccer my whole life and blown calls are just part of the game... Henry admitted to the handball its not his fault the refs didn't call it, he pulled off a desperate move in an attempt to get a goal and succeeded. I don't promote using this method to win but he did what he had to do.

Do you think FIFA should replay the game like Irelands demanding?
Do you think Henry should really be called a cheat and everything else because he did what he had to do?

1. Fifa shouldn't reply the game, as they didn't do it for England with the Maradona incident.

2. Henry is right, it's not his fault the referees didn't see the handball.

I saw this on TV, I would have been extremely pissed if I was on Irelands team. It is not fair, the proof is still there. They should have taken the call back and France should have lost.

 

My parents are really angry about it because Ireland always seems to get cheated out of the World Cup. But I don't blame Henry for what he did. First of all if you can get away with cheating then more power to you, it happens all the time. Secondly It isn't his fault that he didn't get caught.

 

No replay of the game.

The refs should have been paying more attention and therefore, no rematch.

 

I found it funny, and it wasn't his fault. I doubt it was pre-meditated, and if it was such a serious offense the refs should have saw. I do feel a bit bad for Ireland though.

 

they can't put replay in soccer because it would disrupt the flow of the game. everytime the refs would miss a call or not be sure they would have to stop the game to go look, it wouldn't work. This is the game of soccer, blown calls are part of that, its unfortunate that ireland got the shit end of it in such a big game but its just how the game is
