    Dutch and Spanish are both useful... to be fair there are no useless languages. You could come across anyone who only speaks that language, or you could want to visit that country.

    Latin?! Dude latin is one of the most important languages since it is used in the periodic table and is still used today by pharmacists,priests,and even some scientists.

    periodic table? Latin? Latin applies to much more then the periodic table, and not really the periodic table. The elements are often named by whoever discovered them..

    This thread is pointless. You guys are just naming common languages and hoping that they're useless. If a language is useless then why do so many people speak it? If you think it's useless, don't learn it.

    Anyways the most useless and yet large numbered languages is Hindi.
    Only used in India and nearby countries.

    Stop being so ignorant. Just because you don't live in India doesn't mean that language is useless. That's like saying the deforestation of the Amazon isn't worth our attention because it's so far away.

    India is an enormous country with an enormous population (much bigger than ours). Lots of important products come from India. Lots of important things happen in India. We'd probably miss out on a lot of important things if we didn't have anyone who spoke both English and Hindi.
