Lockerz - Why does sythe.org hate it?

Hello. I am a member of that site Lockerz since the beginning of August. I am not here to get invites. People usually want them because they want to invite 20 friends because then they get double points on the site. Now people seem to think that this is a new referral site - well I want to tell you it's actually not.
The Lockerz owners formed a LAB - Lockerz Advisory Board (Which I am a member of) where people from the community can answer questions by new people. I am only making a thread about it because I want to inform you of some things.
Ofcourse the invite system works like other "pyramid schemes" where the site gets more users and gets money from it somehow. But that is only a part of the big picture.
Lockerz is owned by an ex-CEO of Amazon, Kathy Savitt. They got a loan from Amazon to provide the site with prizes. The current site only has a point of getting people to join but that actually is needed for the site to get profit too. You see, when the site is completely done there will be videos, music and other stuff which you can BUY. Ofcourse the free stuff page remains but the PTZ rates rise so you need to earn more points on the site to get the items. But then the site has already profited from you and giving some free items to long-time users is like getting something special for donating to a site or something like that. The loss is very small for them then and profit is bigger than the costs. So this is basically a win-win situation. Although nothing comes free in life and people have to work to get money then this is an ideal way for the young people get their consoles when they can't get a job. They still have to visit the site or get a few dollars from their parents to buy an item. You can also get discount on items with your points obtained.

But Raviool, how do you know the site just isn't a pyramid scheme that takes gazillion years to get the points?
Although at the beginning when I registered I was getting points very slowly - 4 points every day. After I invited 20 people I was getting points faster and yesterday got a free PSP. I will post a video to me unboxing the PSP when people want it.

How do I get an invite?
The site has over 2 million users (month old statistics, is a lot bigger now) so getting an invitation is easy. Although my signature says I will also give invites then I don't force you to ask ME. There is a lot more people who need to get their 20 people invited and ACTUALLY the invites are meant for your personal friends ONLY, just nowadays everything has gone crazy and people keep going crazy for invites, that was inevitable.

Why make a thread when you don't need invites?
Because many people think the site is a scam. I got my free 170 dollar item for no costs at all.

Mainly because it is pointless, and if your allowed to post Lockerz threads, then Sythe would be full of them.

 

Well, ofcourse for adults who earn money from a job it is pointless, the site is meant for teenagers and such.

 

We hate it because our board is constantly being spammed with people looking to give out invites, this thread doesn't seem much different.
