    Profile link: Searchy
    Amount scammed: $230
    Discord ID + Unique Discord ID: Searchy#6028 / 314866321361862656
    Proof that it's their Discord:

    Explanation of trade:

I contacted Searchy via Discord, asking if he could fufill an order for my friend using BNB cryptocurrency. Searchy said that he couild do this and then I told him the amount I was looking to purchase. I was a little confused about the network thing but he said that his wallet supports pretty much network. I'm not that good with cryptocurrency but when I do use it, you usually just send an amount to an address and it just works every time.

I sent the amount to the correct address that was provided and I asked him if he got it yet.

Also here is a screenshot from after the transaction was made which already says it's been confirmed:

I try to track his address to see if the transaction came up but there's nothing. My friend sent it to the correct address and it says it's been confirmed but it's not showing up.

Here's a link of the tracker:

    Address 0x6744d1455ba74af0557d4490d1c7d279ed676fc1 | BscScan

I added him and my friend to a group and he said this:

Once again, I don't understand this "network" talk as it seems like you just send the amount to an address and that's that. Also, he said his wallet confirms "pretty much every network" so I don't understand the backtracking.

Now he's saying that we accidently sent it to the wrong address? I told him that I wanted to pay with BNB and he said he sent me the "wrong address" lmao. I don't understand how he got confused and brought in all of this network talk.

Now he's saying that "BNB is often sent via the erc20 network" and says that he sent his eth address? Why on earth would he send his eth address if I specifically asked to pay with BNB?

EDIT: I think I found proof that the transaction went through.

    If you go to:

    Address 0x6744d1455ba74af0557d4490d1c7d279ed676fc1 | BscScan

    Clicked here: [IMG]

Then I clicked on the testnet one and it shows the transaction:

    Address 0x6744d1455ba74af0557d4490d1c7d279ed676fc1 | BscScan

    Hello,

You hit us up to purchase gold with BNB. You said the following:

That address is in the format of the binance chain network and it was not working for you, so obviously I would assume you would be sending from the ETH network instead

me explaining to him that the network matters:

me clearly stating that it is my ERC20 address:

then apparently he sent it via the binance chain without paying attention, and is now saying it's my fault

proof i have not received any bnb is here:

    Address 0x6744d1455ba74af0557d4490d1c7d279ed676fc1 | Etherscan

the funds are apparently in some binance chain address that i do not have access to:

    Address 0x6744d1455ba74af0557d4490d1c7d279ed676fc1 | BscScan

He was unable to send it to the address I mentioned above because it was a different format or something. It was a coinbase address.

I explained that I wanted to use BNB and I also told you the wallet that the crypto in and for some reason you decided to send an ETH address? That makes no sense. It's also funny how you didn't include the message saying that your wallet supports most networks.

You obviously know about crypto more than I do. If you tell me that your wallet supports most networks and then you only tell me two different networks, of course I'm gonna go ahead and proceed. It still makes no sense why you would send an ETH address when I explained everything right from the beginning. Can you explain why you sent an ETH address for BNB. Lol.

    Hello @onyx123456,

I'm sorry to hear this. I see that the transaction indeed did go through. However, it was sent to a Binance Smart Chain address. Search explicitly told you that the address was an ERC20 address.

BNB (Binance Coin) is a currency. Binance has their own networks, like the Binance Chain and the Binance Smart Chain. This mistake was caused by miscommunication on your part. You friend seemed to understand that he was sending from a Binance network. You should have told your friend that the address Searchy gave you was an ERC20 address.

You can use multiple networks to send BNB with. It's not uncommon to use the ETH network. I would highly advise you to be more careful next time.

Searchy is not responsible for this.
Regardless, I'm sorry for your loss.

EDIT: I've banned @onyx123456 for a week so he can cool down.
