    The Existence of God

To use the contradictions of the mythology in course to create an entirely new contradiction is irrational. Don't you think ?

The Christian Bible attributes it's God to complete omnipotence. Nonetheless, the very stories contradict this. You're using the contradictions that the Bible has made to contradict the concept of the 'perfect' God. Why ? I'm not sure. >.<

I already said that I was speaking from the point of view of the mythology's "logic". You're debating against it. We're debating the same argument. >.<

In debating God, but not in debating the comparison between a metal shard shaped like a heart and the difference between impossible/improbable. My point came smoothly.

Obviously, you don't know what evolution is.

Thus far, humans have learned and adapted. This is why they aren't yet extinct.

No one created it. You must understand that life isn't the big shebang. It was simply one of the options that went about in the evolution of things. It came, and now humans think that there must have been a reason for it. If it wasn't this, it would be something else, and so forth.

You haven't understood many things in this thread.

Good. I'm glad you find comedy in the truth.

There can be no evolution, without life. Evolution does not describe the origin of species. The reason why things don't evolve on Venus is becaues there is no life on Venus.

The real moron is the one that points to a lack of life on Venus as proof that evolution may be false.

Obviously, the scientific approach would be to work with what we only what we can observe, not postulate imaginary fairytales. Thus, the statement: "As far as scientists as can tell...."

Did you need a God out there to learn how to wipe your ass? More or less, if you were a good representation of the human species, it probably would be extinct as you said.

Would you like to list the credentials that give you an authoritative view on common sense?

    The truth can hurt.

    Who says it's a who?

You say everything needs a creator. Following this logic, you believe God created the earth. Following this logic, God would need a creator as well. This leads to two possible conclusions. 1. God does have a creator. 2. Things have always existed.

Understanding? I understand quite frankly that it's retarded. Would you like the dictionary definition of retarded?

    The Existence of God

The majority of people saying the bible is bullshit usually have never read it, now saying this does not mean I think it isn't bullshit. I'm just throwing it out there.

    The Existence of God

As I've pointed out before, I have read the Bible. Not the whole thing, but more than the average Christian. And the more I read it, the more bullshit I find.

The first example is at the very start: What came first, earth or water? The Bible has two contradicting stories about this, which means at least one of them has to be false. If one of them is false, the Bible is not perfect. If the Bible is not perfect, how do you what is true and what is bullshit? I could go on about holes in the Bible, but I don't feel like it.

I never said you didn't read the bible. I never even mentioned you in my post... so it wasn't directed at you.

And yes, just with the beginning you can smell the bullshit, for example how Cain and Abel had children?

Just wanted to point it out.:p I agree that the majority who oppose the Bible has little knowledge of it, but the same can be said about many who support it.

For the record Cain supposedly had children with one of his sisters, after killing Abel. At least that's what Jehovah's Witnesses told me when I raised that same point. I met two of them on the street and talked to them for about an hour, just because I like religious debates.:D

But the bible said nothing about him having a sister. Even then if he did, (if the bible was true, which I believe is not) then we would all be descendants of an inbreds

Well, according to the Bible, early humans could live to be around a thousand years old. So you'd need some heavy inbreeding to get to the modern humans if you look at it that way.

I don't know. And I don't feel the need to believe some irrational explanation just to feel like I have the answer to that question.

What do you mean by obviously? Now where is your proof that there is no God? as there is no proof god is real there is no proof he isn't, thus comes the logic of "faith"...
and since you believe their is definetely NO god, and I respect what you believe
please tell me how the earth was formed?

    The Existence of God

Yes, I do believe that God exists, but I look at God in a deist way. I believe that God probably does exist but does not have powers to perform miracles. Believing in God and believing in what God can do are totally different things. I refuse to believe that God sends thunder to strike those who sin or grant wishes to others. If this was honestly the case, everyone on Earth would be dead. For those who acknowledge no God, would god harm them or would he protect them even though they don't believe in him. If he does harm them, then he can be considered a hypocrite. If he doesn't harm them, then he doesn't exist or supports them for not acknowledging him. Just thinking about this confuses me :O

I know, but to say a god can't do anything supernatural is contradictory.

I believe in God spiritually. But, I don't get why people are saying he doesn't. because you haven't seen him. That's basically asking if depression exist. You don't have to see it, to believe it.

Sure that could make sense. But why would you put your trust in something so important that you've never seen happen or know anyone who has. It's just following the pack.
