2.No and that is an ignorant question.Students who oppose/challenge his authority will.

Seriously? Are you retarded? Evolution describes the advancement of species, not the origin of life. As far as scientists can tell, all life requires carbon, oxygen, and liquid water. Does Venus have those?

    Good job Sherlock.

Actually, a scientist would first wonder: Why am I feeling pain? Then find the rational reason is that there is an electronic signal sent from your stomach to your brain through the nerve highway.

Unfortunately, you clearly lack enough sense to be able to even represent what "common" sense is.

    What created God?

This whole metaphor is retarded. All you are doing is taking an instance from a fictional book and attaching a metaphor to it.

By fiction, I mean unbacked by any sort of empircal evidence.

    Luke 9:27
That's how close judgment day is. Supposedly, Jesus predicted it would have happened way back then.

I can use the Bible too, see? I've also read Revelations twice, it's my favorite fictional book.

    The Existence of God

For many, God does exist, For others, he doesn't exist. Many people don't believe in god because they need evidence of him living. As for me, I'm not really sure. I am on of those people who needs evidence to back up their theory. I guess I do believe in god, but its just not logical that god exists.
But many would say, What about the Bible, Or Jesus or the prophets.
We don't have evidence, we may have pictures, but anyone could draw. It's really hard to believe that god exists, for kids, most of them believe it, but once you get older you actually start to think. I've started thinking early.

    The Existence of God

I find it impossible to believe in the "invisible man in the sky". It's just that humans get brainwashed from their early age and then it's hard to get out of it.

I stand corrected. It's still better than "revalation" though, don't you agree?

    The Existence of God

Why would you find it impossible?

It shows an equivalency of truth to even things like, "there's a metal shard in the shape of a heart so far into the earths crust that humans would burn even going near it". Now, one with your views wouldn't find that 'impossible', but simply unable to be proven.

So, again, why would you find it impossible?

Because a metal shard shaped as a heart wouldnt be braking the laws of physics.

Tho i agree you cannot label it "impossible"

Why is that impossible? Heart shape is pretty standard rock shape. Unless you mean cartoon heart, that would be improbable, but not impossible.

    The Existence of God

I'm not sure if this is an argument stated before, but when people say that we are blessed to be alive, I have serious doubts. If Heaven is perfect, why would we be sent to Earth? And why couldn't God just prevent all sin? Churchgoers have told me 'The Devil controls evil' or something like that, if God is all powerful, why can't he eliminate all sin? Just because two people supposedly ate an apple that gave them all knowledge doesn't mean that God couldn't restore their minds to what they were before eating an apple.

God has also sinned, so I'm not really sure if there would be a higher being than God. In the supposed great flood, he killed millions of people. I was under the impression that murder was wrong, but he broke his own rules.

On the other side, though, I feel like there has to be a higher being, because the Universe couldn't have magically appeared. Though, that would state that nothing created God, which would also be pretty hard to believe.

I'm agnostic because I can understand both sides of the argument.

God as a person or a living object, no.

But god as a last hope in peoples minds, yes.

If we are to believe in God as a living object or person, we should believe in Santa Claus and the Easer Bunny as well.

Its often that you only see people who have problems in life turn to God, since its their last hope.

I hear this a lot. But that sounds like nonsense in my ears. Believing in God is the same as believing the universe magically appeared.

    No, it wouldn't.

    Exactly.

    That was my point. >.<

No, it's not. I don't agree with the concepts, but if we're debating in the midst of mythology, then it would be equally logical to say that God never meant for such things to happen, and that "Satan" has a hand in the plot.

It is similar, but is not meant to represent the concept Russell concocted, to the tee.

Your entire post made me laugh.

1.Your a complete moron if evolution did work there would be life on venus some different species would be created to fit their needs for that planet YOU DON'T KNOW FOR SURE ALL LIFE NEEDS CARBON,OXYGEN,or WATER!
It's just a theory so evolution would have took care of that.
    2.Thanks
3.Then how did the first humans survive they would have been extinct before they learned the basics.
    4.Says you?
All the post made on this thread haven't been as ignorant as yours.
5.Who created all this life on earth?
6.Retarded?You sir are the one not understanding a simple metaphor. If you need the definition of metaphor ask Google.

To me religion was made control people nothing more nothing less. If religion wasn't a factor some of the worlds most bloody wars would have never happen. Its also funny how religions mimic each other in their beliefs.

Edit: Like Christians who tried to wipe out a whole culture (Pagans) because it was god will.
