Futuristic Laptop

Design often outweighs practicality!

 

I can see it out in 2012, but it would be a "rough design" compared to what would be released 5 years later.

 

No way will something like this be out in 2012.....You know how hard it would be to make a flexible laptop....you need to fit everything perfectly to make sure it wouldn't break the motherboard every time you close it.

Companys should stick to bendy straws for now and move onto laptops later.

 

Thats quite cool, but I'm assuming its going to cost a ton... Getting all the hardware to fit will not be very easy.

 

It's going to be really shitty and overpriced on the release. Realistically, I think they are just going to make a bunch of cut-up screen chunks that have lines in between every 4 inches so you can fold them.

Nevermind about the release date, 2012 was just a guess from a kid at another forum.

 

I could honestly see this being released very soon. We're surprised by technology all the time. It's not that far-fetched when you consider some of the things we have already, and how fast technology is advancing.

 

I would not get this in the near future if it came out. I'm too used to normal keyboards and screens that are flat. Not to mention it would cost a good sum of money.

 

The stylus pen that was pulled out when they converted it into a tablet would have to be flexible enough to roll up into a coil.

True, but i as long as it isn't a high performance laptop, they should be able to fit all of the components into there. They could make multiple circuit boards connected only by wires.

 

In all honestly, I could see this coming out in the next 5-10 years, we already have the technology.

With some of the things i've seen already that laptop doesnt seem to far away.

It looks cool and pretty handy, but i'd feel like a homo wearing that. It looks too much like a purse.
