I agree 100%, I always Ex mod's get their position back, Though I may agree with that, BUT, It's always good to have a friendly face, Thats why you look at someone that has never been reported, has many vouches, many posts, and has been here some time and knows what to do. You mods are typically saying all users on these forums are scammers so they can't be mod, but many of us are not scammers and report against them.
So All in all.

Lets Get some New Mods!

But keep the ones we have now.

 

Where do you all impose any candidates for moderator?

You talk a good arguement but who's there to promote?

Btw Matt: RIP had a lot of friends and you know it Your arguement about the recent members being admitted into staff in correlations to their friendship with staff is weak as you contradicted yourself in your own contention.

 

How the Hell are you a Global Moderator and a Ex Moderator at the Same time.

 

He was a global, resigned, and is a global again.

Well, when Sythe first started didn't Sythe pick all of you?
Well to find out if someone is trusted you have to pick them up.
If they don't know what there doing you have to teach them.
There not just automatically going to know what to do.
I bet atleast one person that's staff right now, didn't know how to work vBulletin before. You adapt to things.

Before recent promotions, this site was very understaffed. 6 Global moderators left and they aren't easy positions to fill. They need to fill those shoes with just as much trust and experience that their predecessors had, and when your understaffed, re-hiring old staff is the most plausible solution.

 

It's the staff's decision, not yours. This is just a sad excuse for the hopes of becoming a moderator yourself.

 

He said he didn't want to be mod, or deserve it. he's talking about others. Learn how to read.

Yeah, there has been some recent promotions, such as Skele. However your correct, most seem to be mod's friends or ex mods =/

I can see why, it'd just be nice for others to have a chance at mod as well.

 

I kind of understand where the Sythe Admins who pick mods are coming from because the mods have already been mods and have done a good job. But it's always better to get a new a mod.

 

It just sounds like you're complaining like a little kid. If you want something to be resolved that doesn't satisfy you, nobody is going to take the initiative to fix it. That's where you come in.

Instead of complaining, why don't you give some suggestions that contribute for a resolute.

 

Instead of spamming, why don't you come up with a suggestion? If you honestly don't have anything new to add, why bother wasting time? It seems a bit pointless in my opinion.

This thread honestly wasn't for you. I do not cater to you specifically. I do not make public threads in order to see your posts. I do not hang on your every word. Instead, I open a thread to discuss an issue that I see.

The topic of fourm, doesn't matter. I stopped playing rs even though I know practically everything about it. So I stay in the Off-topic seection.

Really, it's only necessary for their return if there are NO other options.

It's like you said, just because Shredderbeam got banned, doesn't mean all admins scam.

Eventually, they're going to run out of "old friends".


They do seem to try to put some effort into filtering the staff, but mainly, the staff is regurgitated.

As for this thread, there's really no way to fix the bias. It'll always happen.

 

I am contributing. I am giving you a suggestion which can ultimately benefit the community.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with many of your points but I like playing the role of devil's advocate and really testing the length and quality of your arguement.

 

There is no solution to bias, just improvements. I'm not looking for complete overhaul; I'm just looking for a bit of effort on improving the way things are.

I'm just not really arguing anything. It's not really meant to be an argument. Everyone knows the flaws and everyone should admit to them, I'm merely trying to get people to focus more on things such as this.

(On a side note, is anyone else experiencing weird issues with quoting? Every time I click the quote button, it wants to quote the entire page, not just the post I selected.)
