I really suggest you guys see this documentary.
You look at the labels and see farmer this and farmer that but its really just 3-4 companies that are controlling the meat (tyson, cargill.)

It makes me sick how chickens are treated. I'm not saying that they have feelings or some hippy shit like that cause I'm a carnivore and always will be. I'm talking about how tyson makes the farmers sign a contract for which they have to build and upgrade chicken houses until their so full in debt that they HAVE to keep the contract going otherwise their just gonna go bankrupt. I'm talking about how chickens this day and age are 60% larger then they normally should be and that they pump them so full of hormones that they can only take 1 or 2 steps and just fall because their bodies cant keep up with the growth of muscle. People who say, 'I don't care.' should watch this documentary then afterwards tell me if you don't honestly care. I live in SD and have access to actual farmers with REAL meat that they sell in actual barns and even if they do give the animals some kind of injection its mostly to keep them healthy. The chief of state of the USDA was the former chief lobbyist to the beef industry in washington. The head of the FDA was the former executive vice president of the national food processors association. These regulated agencys are controlled by the very companies who are supposed to be scrutinized. In 1972, the FDA conducted approximately 50,000 food safety inspections. In 2006, the FDA conducted 9,164.

90 percent of the food you see in the supermarket is made with corn or a soybean ingredient. An average american is eating over 200 pounds of meat per person per year and that wouldn't have been possible if the companies had not given them the diet of super cheap grain. Cows are not designed by nature to eat corn, their designed to eat grass and the reason that they give corn to the cows is because it makes them fatter quicker. If the cows are eating corn then E coli mutates and appears on the world stage. The cows stand ankle deep in their manure all their lives and if one cow has it then all the other cows probably have it too. When the cows are in the slaughter house their hides are caked in manure and if the slaughterhouse is slaughtering 400 animals an hour, how do you keep that manure from getting on the other carcasses?

    Examples of some of the foods/items corn is in;
    Ketchup
    Cheese
    Twinkies
    Batteries
    Peanut Butter
    Cheez-Its
    Salad Dressing
    Coke
    Jelly
    Sweet N' Low
    Syrup
    Juice
    Kool-aid
    Charcoal
    Diapers
    Motrin
    Meat

Why is it that you can buy a double cheeseburger at mcdonalds for 99 cents and you can't even get a head of broccoli for that price. We skewed out food system to the bad calories, and its not a accident. The reason that those calories are cheaper is because those are the ones we're heavily subsidizing. The biggest predictor of obesity is income level.

What are your opinions on the food industry this day and age?

I think that the amount of unhealthy foods I see in the supermarket are ridiculous. I also think that there was always problems with diets, it just took us this long to look into it.
All I can say about that is ... America ... lol MEATMEATMEAT!
    Battery farms are horrible.

Its not the diets, its the food itself. Also no exercise.
