Explanation of the trade: I purchased an account from Hyper Elo that he deemed to be the original owner of on his thread title (EUW - Master Account / 221 Skins (Original Account Creator)). I confirmed with him in discord chat logs that his friend was indeed the one that was the original owner (false advertising) and then this account completely turned out to be just a hacked account. I purchased the account in full confidence that he reassured me that selling this account would be as if he was the original owner because this is an "irl" friend that would never recover the account.

How they scammed: When the season ended on League it turns out I lost access to the account at sometime around 2 am, the account was recovered and region swapped as deemed so by my friend "Chaz" who's an expert name seller on League because of what the name was automatically name changed to "temp" etc. which I can show proof of. It turns out from what it seems that his friend isn't even the original owner because the account was recovered by a third party and swapped back to NA and name changed to "TheGreatJoee". I purchased and put the name "easy" on the account which was valued at $400 assuming this account would never be compromised by a member of longevity on Sythe of over 7 years. I'm looking to receive a full compensation for the damages and total loss of the name "easy", the value of the account, and the $100 of RP I purchased on the account if possible. I came here to reason with the staff of sythe and see where I stand and what reparations I can be met with in this case.

Note, the user is trying to get me the account back with the full recovery information but someone else recovered this account with the same information which would deem the account as compromised and would eventually get locked by riot since it's been reclaimed by multiple parties. This is the individuals resolution after he reassured me he would take full responsibility on this account. I am at a total loss of $700 due to this individuals actions and came here to seek resolution with the staff of sythe.

The only way I would take the account back is if this was a riot error which the case seems not to be. Otherwise I feel as if I deserve compensation out of the losses I've taken due to this account.

 

I do own (Used to before selling it) this account. This is a joint account I used with a real life mate of mine, hence the "Original Owner" title. I have even went the extra step of informing him with this piece of information just for transparency. There were no false advertisement here, I believe.

Concerning the accusation that the account was hacked, simply this is impossible as this account was never sold. Since creation in 2016, there has never been anyone on the account. We can likely support this, with the fact that the account's IP has always been in the same country, up until it was sold.

Furthermore, I have checked and there was never recovery done on our side, and as stated above, the account couldn't have been recovered by anyone else. Only us have enough information to submit an account recovery ticket and I am offering my client to submit it, having the account back within days.

 

Yet someone took the account, changed the name to "TheGreatJoee" and I have lost total access to it after a week. This account has costed me over $700 in damages overall. There seems to be a serious lack of understanding and integrity here because how was this account taken back. I'm expecting a riot ticket stating this account was either recovered/locked due to riot error or something. I've never had an account hacked before across any video games I've played in years. I'm a very secure and tight knit individual and there were no other problems with anything else besides this league account.

I'm not entirely sure this is on you as I think there could be a slight chance it was riot and just default name changed to "TheGreatJoee" as the account hasn't been used since I had access to it so fingers crossed we fix this otherwise I'm hoping someone can handle this.

 

There was no TOS made during the time of sale.

 

I just assumed since I lost access to the account and he was adamant his friend was the original owner and nobody but him and his friend had access to the account it seemed logical that they were the only ones responsible correct? What could have gone wrong?

 

As stated, I've never been compromised on anything before. I've had no suspicious activity across anything else besides this league account. It's highly unlikely as a matter of fact it's not possible that I've been compromised at all.

 

I can respect that, waiting on his reply on discord. I think this could potentially be a riot error as the account hasn't been touched since I lost access to it. I've been following the op.gg stats and match history of the account.

They surely would've responded by now... not sure whats going on I thought you were the original owner..? Recoveries are usually instant.

 

There has been miscommunication between me and my mate, and turns out I misspelled his e-mail when I submitted the recovery ticket. I have asked him to create the ticket himself, I know this has been taking much longer than it should, hence I accept having the DNT until this is solved. I just would like to assure that I'll have the account recovered.
