Infraction For Posting In Wrong Section?

Well, you can easily say that i have dedicated my Sythe-life to cleaning up the black market forum. As seen in this thread:

And except from that, i, on a daily basis, report alot of threads in the pure section, that contain mains.

I think i have reported a total of 150+ mains during the last weeks. And every single day, people post them in the wrong section again. I can't keep up, it takes me a day to report them, and it takes the mods 1 day to handle with them. And the only punishment for posting the wrong place is having your thread moved. If people would learn it would be okay. But they don't.

So, I am suggesting, that we start infracting people posting in the wrong section, and perhaps put up the guidelines for what a pure is, and what a pure isn't? I would still be extremely happy to write them, and there are already some in the above mentioned thread.

What do you think?

UPDATE: Many support this, with adding of a confirmation screen before starting a thread in the black market accounts section. This could be "Are you sure you are in the right section?" "Yes" "No" "Guidelines" Or whatever.

I believe that an infraction for posting in the wrong section is fine. But, I believe they should at least receive a warning first and not a full blown infraction. If you automatically give someone an infraction for posting in the wrong section they may just simply leave saying "wow too controlling of a forum". It should work something like this...

WARNING RECIEVED "You may not post on the forums until you read these rules(takes them to rules)...
If they do not click on the link in their private message in-box then they cannot post until they do so.

After receiving a warning it should be logged and if they get an infraction then they should receive a 3 day ban from posting in the forum and for each infraction of posting in the wrong section will add another 3 days to the ban period.

I also support this notion.

 

Give the user a warning the first time they do it, infract them the second time.

 

I agree with JohnK, You could also make something that pops up and says
"Are you sure you posted this in the right spot, if its not, you'll get an infraction"

Tbh I hate just scoping out or "browsing" for a pure in the pure section and a lot of the threads say "AWESOME MAIN HERE" "MAIN WITH 100m+" Or w/e the case is... It clearly says Pures 60-138.. and pures 3-59.. Just because your account is level 120 doesnt make it a pure.. and surely ur not a "pure" if your 138 your just "maxed" 60-138 just means all levels in between

Maybe we should delete the "Other account section"

Because if your account is a barrow pure/skill pure/DDS Pure/DFS Pure/Tank pure/ w/e the case may be it belong in the "pure" section nevertheless.

And the "Other Section" Should be renamed the "Main account section" But new people may take that the wrong way seeing as how the word "main" may throw them off.

And often times I see pures in the other section =s, not as annoying but w/e

Yeah but we do have some younger / more immature users here who either don't know which section to post in even though it clearly says it or they just cba to post in the correct section.

I do support as long as a warning comes first.

Warnings aren't used anymore but I think they should be, we wouldn't want Sythe to turn out like Fagex.

 

How hard is it really "OH LOOK MY ACC HAS 95 ATT, 88 STR, AND 78 DEFENSE, LETS POST IT IN THE PURE SECTION" If you cant decipher pure from main and post it in the correction, Idk if you should even be selling accounts tbh.

 

Read above post, I do swear there are some people under the age of 10 who try and sell there accounts here, I dealt with one a few days ago.

I think this should be more for the blackmarket than the other boards.

 

We posted at the same exact/close times :07 AM, so I did post before reading it, and besides.. I registered in august..

But if I think correctly arn't you suppose to be 13+ when registering here? I could be wrong. With that being said, your suppose to be 13+ when signing up for runescape any ways.. So they can just cry about it =s.

Didn't read anything about an age requirement when registering.

 

There is for runescape atleast, And I'm sure many of us registered before 13 perhaps, but even so, rules a rules. It's like when i play halo 3 and i hear fucking 8 year olds saying "OMG WOWWWWWWWWWW" You shouldn't be playing the game any ways.. So don't cry if your getting "pwned" Or in this case if you get infracted for spam

And either way you need 5 spam infraction for a temp ban, so if you post in the wrong section for pures/mains 5 times, Please just X out now.

i support, but it can be anoying at times if your looking for something specific and theres something wayy off; thats happend to me alot.
