I think it is not true. Also, getting off topic a little, I personally believe Nostradamas (might have mispelled) wrote such vague descriptions on events that could happen in the future that you can take his scriptures and use it multiple events. He was not a prophet.

The worlds end have been predicted like 100 times through the last 50 years, and they are never right.

 

This is obviously fake.
Reasons:
There were many other "theories" that stated the world was going to end, or the Earth will crash into the sun many times before.
All those theories were proven wrong.
On those certain dates, what the person predicted didn't happen.

 

I think it's complete and utter bullshit blown way out of proportion by the media. Also what's the reason they believe this? The calendar stopped? If so think about it what did you want them to do make a calendar for 9058? It had to stop somewhere.

 

I think it is all BS, it won't happen.

 

Do you know how many bullshit doomsday predictions there have been? This is just another one to chalk up.

 

It's a dumb theory, and all the "evidence" out there is just total bullshit.

In 2013 I'll be laughing at everyone who thought the world would end in 2012 .

The Mayan's never specifically stated that the world would end in 2012, but the course of history COULD take a slight turn, but then again, history is always taking slight turns. Nearly everyday, something new happens or is discovered that could be life-changing.

I'm not saying it's a load of bullshit. Of course people have they're reasons to believe this, but I'm just stating my opinion. It could happen, it could not. Don't get your hopes up and hide in a dome, but don't completely ignore the date either. It's either something will happen, or something won't, and you won't want to be the one not prepared for the worst just because you didn't believe it.

I myself will be somewhat cautious throughout December of 2012, but I still believe nothing will happen.

What will it help to be "somewhat cautious"? If the world ends in some cataclysmic event, it won't help to hide under the table. But anyway I'm not going to prepare myself for anything that isn't going to happen. This whole thing is stupid. The Mayan calendar ends, some idiot sees the end of the calendar is the end of the world, suddenly more idiots and the smart, but greedy media industry presents it as the end of the world.

The Mayans did not predict the end of the world. Some idiot just decided that they must have done. No real Maya historian will tell you the Mayans predicted the end of the world to ever happen.

Btw, I saw the 2012 movie, so the plan is working as far as I can see.
