Texting while driving

u can text like me i dont even look at my phone thats how good i am

 

Yea i used to be able to do that with my old phone, but its quite hard now with a Blackberry Curve...

 

Ive been in situations where the driver is texting and not even paying attention to the road >.< I have had to actually take the wheel and steer it to stop us from crashing.

 

Can someone say Intervention time?

 

Most accidents are indeed by unskilled drivers, but anyone could be involved in an accident.

 

Why text while driving? What would you rather do send your buddy 'yea ttyl' or give up like 3 grand because you caused an accident. If your really that desperate and need to send a text, pull the fuck over.

 

You should know if you have the skills to pull off something like texting while you are driving.

I for example know how to text so I am watching the road at the same time and I have never gone on the shoulder of a road or come close to it. I text all the time while I drive even though it is actually illegal where I live. As well as texting I also eat while I drive, I know many people don't have the multitasking ability to do the same but if you can do it well I see no problem.

 

I seen a mad video from india a guy on a motorbike laying back texting while going through traffic, using his feet to stear.

I found myself on the wrong side of the road from fuckin around with my phone gps. If its talking on a phone thats fine, but texting is abit stupid.

 

The video honestly made me laugh. That'd be like making a video of a school shooting and telling kids not to go to school. I think it should be allowed, but if a person does it and they do get in a car wreck/deadly car wreck, the punishment should be a lot worse.

Actually, when i text, i hold the phone up near the windshield so that i can see the road and the phone while driving. I keep my eyes on the road, and briefly glance at the screen of the phone every few seconds. I am not driving dangerously at all.

texting while driving is just stupid, i've left my friends cars in bfe because they were texting while driving its stupid and causes accident, if saying "whats up" to some random kid is worth risking my life while in the car with you you might as well not talk to me

I suppose you mean not blinking & checking mirrors. I support that idea. Mirror checking is not practically possible though, but you will get pulled over for not blinking repeatedly. I saw that on TV, so it must be true.

 

Dude anyone who drives has to realise how fucking stupid this is, if TALKING on a mobile is illegal, which only takes 1 hand away and your hearing, because it is dangerous... then obviously teXting, which takes away 1 hand, sight and far more concentration, is going to be way more bloody dangerous.

Anyone who texts while driving is pretty much offering the car infront of them a free new back bumper, mines a bit dinged thinking about putting the brakes on infront of someone on their phone texting now

People are fucking retards sometimes and don't know what they can cause. Oh look John asked me out! Oh yeah big deal! Maybe they should have been paying attention to the road lol

 

Talking can be multi-tasked with essentially anything. Texting, on the other hand, requires almost-full attention, and therefore essential attention to driving isn't present. I see no reason in warding off blue-tooths when driving, but again, texting is a strict no-no.
