Paranormal Activity...

Well I don't want to reveal too much about the movie. Please don't get me wrong- it was not a bad movie, it simply just couldn't live up to the stir that it was creating. I suppose if you actually beleive in the whole demons, spirits and ghosts bit then you would probably be scared shitless. I guess it just wasn't my type of movie..?
What did you guys think of it?

OH and off topic...I actually haven't seen a movie I have actually liked sinceeeeeeeee around 2007. Any one familiar with any good movies they want to recommend? I'm into fantasy, adventure, horror and action flicks.

 

It's a very bad movie in my opinion. Probably worst I've seen all year...

Honestly I was about to walk out of the movie theater about 30 minutes into it. So boring and none of that is believable at all. I have no idea why people were so pumped for it.

 

The end of it was decent... but no matter which way you looked at it, it was a poorly made low budget film.

The story and concept was great, but the presentation sucked.

 

I like your opinon, but Paranormal Activity was a huge success on many levels.

*This movie had a budget of $15,000 and has now made over $88 million.
*Up until a few months ago, no one knew this was a film, everyone thought it was real, due to the fact there is no rolling credits and the end and the cast uses their same names in the movie.
* It really was realisitc, most movies today are so outa range in reality, but this one was realisitic, because no one has ever seen a demon yet they can mess with you mentally, just like this movie.

I saw this movie and michael jacksons this is it this week and i can honestly saw i was more scared by this is it then paranormal activity, i mean for a low budget film it did very good but it was terrible all the hype was bs

 

I think it only scared me, as much as it did, because I was in the movie theater, and I have major anxiety problems, kept feeling like something was gonna like jump out at my feet or something because of the movie.

But, overall, the story line was kind of.. far fetched. A demon? Really.. I could've gone for maybe a ghost or something.

 

I don't believe in the whole "Paranormal" thing either. However, for the sake of making it better, I decided to pretend that it was real. In that light, it was pretty scary. It was the first movie I have seen in a while that has sent shivers down my spine. You have to watch it like you believe it for it to be "freaky".

Also, the budget was $15,000. So they did pretty good, considering most movies are in the few millions.

 

It was a really good movie based on the budget they had if you think about it..

 

Seems a lot of you are thinking quite like me about this movie :s

Paranormal activity wasnt good at all. Was not scary - I downloaded it because I knew it would stink from all the reviews it got.

 

The thing most people forget is:

It's supposed to seem like a documentary-type film... =/

 

The only reason it was a huge success was because it was hyped up more than it really should have been. It was a crappy movie, I don't mean that because it was low budget. The trailers for it showed people shitting themselves in the movie theater. That's why everyone said "oh shit let's go watch it" It was pretty stupid.

 

well, we do have to give the whole Staff and Crew credit, to make a so overly hyped movie like that with only using like 8,000$.

 

I guess it just depends- if you beleive in ghosts, spirits and demons you will wet yourself.
