Graphics is Dying

Where are the defibrilators.
Graphics has been slowly dying ever since Phevil and Durial and TDD and SMI left or stopped posting.
The amount of people who try one or two signatures and give up is ridiculous.
CnC is lacking at best.
Not to mention GIMP and Paintshop are actually considered to be useable

Solution

• Complete wipe of the Graphics section except for essential stickys and SoTW
• New tutorial on how to get current edition of Photoshop
• Tutorial Archive section so there are some resources for beginners to follow
• Showcase is split into two sub-categories one for feedback related to improvement and one for finished work
• Sticky explaining what to comment on in feedback and what not to comment on
• Divide the sales section to comissioned work and to pre-made sales.

Set up a donation fund and let people donate what they want. When you reach your target, you write your guide and so on.

tbh this is a great idea. We've got some awesome new mods. If this was done I can see new people starting and actually learning and improving etc.

Removing what's there will just make it more lacking.

Go to the store and buy it or visit their website and buy it. Anything else would be illegal, and I'm sure would not be supported by the rules of Sythe.

The amount of guides that can be found on the internet are endless. I personally find video guides on youtube more helpful, and anyone not looking for guides just shows that they do not want to progress. (me)

Okay. I'm going to have to agree with about everyone on some things

On teaching people how to get the current edition of photoshop. I'd be fine with posting a tutorial on how to get the trial version. But, as for the cracked versions and pirated versions, I wouldn't like to have those floating around the graphics section. But, mods can't change what they don't acknowledge. We can't control what programs you have on your computer. But, if you accept a cracked version of photoshop, DO IT AT YOUR RISK AS IT'S NOT OUR FAULT FOR SAYING IT'S OKAY.

Completely wiping the graphics section. I'd have to talk with Tr1bal about it. But, if it ever happened, I was maybe thinking saving most of the things done by renowned graphics members, and wiping all of the beginners threads.

Sticky explaining what to comment on in feedback and what not to comment on. I agree on it. Freedom of speech isn't what we're looking for completely. Saying "ooa nice siggee" isn't helping anybody. Most people post in this section for post count, and don't actually know what they're talking about. In my opinion, saying they have improved from the last sig they posted is alright. If there's no constructive criticism to be given, don't say "oo nice sig." Simply say, "I have found nothing in the piece to be improved on, therefore, I think it's nice." At least let the artist know how he's doing.

A tutorial archive section. I actually agree. It would be where all the .psds, and tutorials that are NOT RIPPED would go. If you rip anything, it's an automatic ban. I don't mind if you post tutorials from members from other sites, as long as you link them to the thread of the site where you found the tutorial, ask the artist if you could share the tutorial, POST PROOF THAT THE ARTIST ALLOWED YOU TO USE IT, and don't expect people to say thank you, as it's not your work.

Dividing the section into premade and custom work. I totally agree. It would make sig shopping just that easier. I'm not going to lie whatsoever. It's a great idea I wouldn't have thought enough to say.

That's kind of sad. You were a "beginner" at one time.

There already arnt many threads to start with. If anything then do one section for shops and one for contest orders. (Example, someone needs a banner, 5 people make them, he chooses. Done)
