What is goldfarming?

Im new to this, and understand the idea of transfering gold. But what is goldfarming, and why does it take longer to get gold while goldfarming?

What do they do exactly while goldfarming?

 

Gold farming is when you make the gold on the account manually

 

ok but how do they make that gold? what do they do exactly?

 

The Gold farmer can do anything in their ability to gold farm, like kill dragons, collect things, chop, fish, etc.

 

Basically a bunch of people get on accounts and start getting money on runescape by doing work like mining, killing dragons, etc....

Then the Runescape money is sold for real money

 

They make it on the account SOMEHOW.
