    Tomorrow the NBA season begins!

    Today's Results:
Celtics beat Cavs<---- Look for Lebron in new colors
Lakers beat Clippers<-----21-0 first 21 games
Portland beats Rockets<----- Roy starts dominance
Wizards beats Mavs<----- Agent 0 is back

After 4 months, the season FINALLY begins!      As (my) the Lakers begin their quest to repeat, many challenges lay ahead with the Celtics, Magic, Cavs, Spurs all in rhythm.

Expert picks from NBA experts (former players, coaches, and commentators.)

    http://www.nba.com/seasonpreview/2009/expert.picks/index.html

10/12 predict the Lakers to win the West, while 2/12 pick the Spurs.
6/12 predict the Cavs to win the East, and the other 6/12 pick the Celtics.

5/12 predict a Repeat, while 3 pick the Celtics/Cavs, and 1 with the Spurs.

    Offensive Production:
    http://www.nba.com/2009/news/powerrankings/08/17/offseason.rankings/index.html

    1.) Lakers
    2.) Cavs
    3.) Magic
    4.) Spurs
    5.) Celtics

The NBA MVP of the season. (msnbc) http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/33235754/ns/sports-nba/
According to this (reliable) source, fan opinions have predicted to have Kobe Bryant to win this valuable trophy.

Up-and-coming players in the NBA that come to mind are: Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, Rudy Gay (stfu about last name), Brandon Roy, Shannon Brown, Carmelo Anthony, Anthony Marrow, Stephen Curry, James Harden and etc (sorry for the rest I didn't name.)

Make or break seasons: Greg Oden, Michael Beasley; these two mostly.

Players falling: Allen Iverson, Elton Brand, Shaq, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Mike Bibby, Stephen Jackson (preseason shows it) and various other players.

    http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/shaun_powell/10/26/predictions/index.html

    Teams expected to do well:

Washington Wizards; With Agent Zero (Gilbert Arenas of Van Nuys) back and 90-99% healthy, additions of Randy Foye/Mike Miller from the Wolves, the Wizards could expect to better then last year.

Los Angeles Clippers: Healthy players=healthy season? And possibly a playoff spot? With B-Griffin showing domination in preseason, and many healthy players coming back, expect a hard fighting Clippers team.

Atlanta Hawks: Jamal Crawford could either make or break these young Hawks. 1 NBA "expert" predicted the Hawks to win South East division over the defending Eastern Conference Champs, Orlando Magic.

Portland Trail Blazers: B-Roy committed this summer to become an "elite" SG, working harder ever then before. They also resigned future NBA All-Star Lamarcus Alridge.

Oklahoma City Thunder: Kevin Durant+James Harden+Russell Westbrook+Jeff Green=Winrar. They will do better then last season, obviously. But this young and talented OKC team is missing a dominate center who can rebound, and score at will.

    Tomorrow the NBA season begins!

    Don't make me laugh.

Celtics are evidently the team to beat in the east (obviously). The Magic are going to suck: They lost Hedo, Courtney, and Rafer... all for what? A semi-washed up star player? Hedo was their go-to guy and they lost him as well as key players vital to their 08-09 season run. It's not particularly bad considering they signed key players like Branden Bass and Matt Barnes. I don't think they got any better but I'm not saying they got worse....

As for the Cavaliers.... Does losing by 13 in the pre-season without our defensive and spiritual leader as well as our star sharpshooter say something to you? They cannot beat us. Period. Evidentally, they just fall short compared to the Celtics (4-4 in preseason games? Wtf happened?). Meh, they got slightly better with a very washed up Shaq and the acquisition of Anthony Parker but the additions are nothing compared to the C's.

Now for the C's... They lost no key players (pft, Mikki Moore and Starbury are nobodies) and gained a shitload of talent. Marquis gives them versatility on the 1, 2, and 3 spot. He can play the point (proven so far) and they have a pretty solid pick-up at pick 59 in the draft (Lester Hudson) who is a proven winner and shown that he's NBA-ready. A noteworthy pickup would also be Williams. He's proven to be a prolific defender and add that to the C's defensive approach. Now let's not forget the most important signing of them all: 'Sheed. Versatile, passionate, a proven winner. What does that say? Now let's add that to the already exceptional core players that the Celtics have and what do you get? A championship.

The Lakers have evidently gotten better- Ron Artest. With him, you guys get a more versatile forward but you lose speed and activeness on both ends of the floor. Artest is a defensive master, don't get me wrong but Ariza was almost as good but he was more active.

Pftt, I predict the C's win opening night.

Gtfo, this thread is about the NBA, you clearly stated you don't go to school anyways.

-Nuggets aren't winning anything this season sorry to say.

-Preseason is preseason, last 2 and a half seasons, Cavs vs C's has always been about homecourt. Shannon+Jordan have proven they truly want the starting spot after Fish retires which makes up for Ariza. Rasheed Wallace also brings more techs to the C's which can ruin chemistry. Ron Ron (sounds gay/perverted buts he wants the ring) walked in the shower with Kobe in Boston, and told him he wants the covenanted trophy. When you pull a little homo stunt and tell a rival/friend you want something, he will earn it.

-Warriors have many many problems with former Capn' Jack and Don Nelson. 1 player can ruin a team's chemistry, such as Marbury.

I agree with what you said about Marbury. Celtic are definitly the team to beat but i believe the Beast from East if going to be the Magics. Call me dumb but i love the underddogs.

By the way west/sw is all Rockets for me.

But this thread is for NBA talk, not contradicting yourself. Park/inner school leagues are different from the physical school team.

It's going to be Lakers or Cavs all the way. Cavs just need to push themselves just a bit more and they'll get where they want to get. NBA Finals.

If 8-0 in pre season aint making a statement i don't know what is. All they need to do is step up there defence a bit more and they are gonna be another team to beat in the east.
