Many people say that equipping verac's helm, black dhide body, and verac's bottom.

why is that exactly? Wouldn't you want more defence? So how come no body mentions wearing those equipment with torag's helm and torag's legs?

By the way, I'm also going in there with guthans, will it help?

 

Because Verac's has prayer bonus and as long as your smart you don't need any defense bonus.

 

Coming from the top firecaper on sythe, I would say this is answered.

Also, you can substitute Verac skirt with dhide bottoms for extra range bonus if you're hitting poorly.

And by the way, do I drink the restore potions when I run out of prayer or when I stuff up on brew OR do I drink them only until the very end?

 

When you run out of prayer and brew. if you brew only do so if needed ( like -60 hp)

 

What if I use full guthans on them while using prayer?

Yeah, use them when you need to, if you're low on prayer or if you need to restore with a brew, but if you using Guthans, mostly for prayer.
