    Depression

    Myself and a few others have depression in my school. I'm trying to educate our year (year 12) so we can get some help from them. I just got home from a retreat with all of Year 12, and was shocked to see the treatment of some of my peers with depression.

    Has anyone done this before? Got any advice on how to do this successfully?

    I used to have it when I was 8 years old.
    I have tried to help people through it. :)

    i have bad depression , but i force myself not to think about stuff too much or it'll give me stress aswell , so i just do sports to get my mind off things .

    Weed will help your depression. The only negative health benefit is lung damage, but you're smoking so what do you expect. There's plenty of positive health benefits to go along with weed, why do you think some states allow it for medical use?

    /facepalm

    On topic:

    Around February of this year I had a complete mental breakdown and was the most depressed I have ever been in my life. I dumped my girlfriend of 2 years for no reason at all (we're back together now thankfully) I considered suicide almost every day, and I pretty much quit school (I'm back on track now)

    I'm feeling a lot better about everything now. I don't really know what helped me.. most likely the few months off of school. If you can, try to take some time off and get your head on straight. Do some stuff, like go out with some friends to the movies/dinner/amusement park/something.

    A sport should help?
    And they have anti depressant pills.
    And another thing I believe is socialising, not on facebook msn, but actually getting out there enjoying time with your friends.
