How stupid do these goldselling sites get?

Not knowing English does not make you "stupid." What makes you stupid is making an ignorant thread like this.

 

Having a business which serves US customers and not having proper staff with decent english to communicate with customers is stupid. Anyone who doesnt realise this is stupid. Unfortunately this applies to you.

 

Ummm...ever heard of call centres? Apparently, a majority of NORTH AMERICAN companies use call centres located in INDIA where the main language is NOT english

Call centres have nothing to do with webchat support. They do not get access to order processing of the company.

 

Call centres doesn't have to be telemarketers. It can be tech support call centres...

 

So they have to play runescape in order to run a good buisness?

Doesn't really matter much if they can speak 100% perfect english, As long as they know, "No, That's To Little, I Want More!" You will do good

 

Actually yes they are.

They don't manage the business they are the guys that get paid $0.1 an hour to goldfarm.

 

I have encountered several people who I have had to take some time to get them to understand what I am looking for. I just keep calm.

It would help more, though, if they got people who have played the game a little, also, to understand a bit more so they can answer a larger variety of questions. ^_^

 

Ok but you are not realizing the main point. He is calling the people "stupid" because they do not know the English language. Not having proper staff with decent English to communicate with customers is stupid, I agree with you, but you can not call someone stupid because they don't know the English language.

He's not calling them stupid for not knowing English. He's calling them stupid for trying to have a service on something they clearly don't know enough about. "Mandy" here got an acceptable English. The only thing is that she doesn't know enough about the game.
That would be like trying to have a garage without knowing anything about cars.

Actually English is the second language in India. So most people in India know English very good.

 

Language has nothing to do with this... The person trying to give support didn't even know that accounts have 2 different levels if you played members, they should at least know this much, c'mon...

 

Can you speak Chinease? Any other language? Didnt think so.

I would say the seller is a little stupid because she was asking a question in which he gave two answers for.
