Supernatural Experiences: real events with no real explainations.

Tell me if you've ever experienced some sort of paranormal or supernatural phenomena.

From 2001 to 2003 I lived on F.E. Warren Air Force Base (AFB) in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The base is home to buildings that were built between 1850 and 1890, well old enough to have plenty happen in them, and boy is I a believer now. Here are the stories of my experiences...

    1. The Annex
    2. The Bathroom
    3. The Hospital
    4. The Livingroom
    5. The Dog

    1. The Annex
Inside most of these houses is a small annex in the attic/top room area which was used to house indentured servants during the time period they were built. Many refer to them as the "slave's quarters". There is nothing wrong with the rooms themselves, but because they are lined with lead-based paint--and the contractors deemed it unnecessary to repaint a room with no insulation, air conditioning, and no running water--it was just strongly suggested that no one use the rooms due to the obvious health issues involved. Since I, like most people, don't really like to subject myself to disease and danger, I listened and I never set foot in the room more than once when I first moved there 7 months earlier.

One night I went on a walk with a girlfriend of mine at the time, this means we left the house for about 2 or 3 hours. The only people in the house during the time I was gone was my grandmother and my baby sister, both cannot climb stairs nor would have any interest in that room due to the health concerns I mentioned earlier. When we returned from our walk it was dark outside and we noticed the light was on in the small annex because it was showing through the ventilation cracks below the blacked-out windows. I thought it was odd and went inside to ask if anyone had been in the room to turn the lights on. To my surprise no one had entered, and when I went to turn the light out myself, it was already off. Of course this had me freaked out but I didn't want to pin it on supernatural happenings just yet, because I thought it would be absurd. Instead I blamed it on old wiring in the walls, which probably haven't been replaced or inspected in 50 years or so.

    2. The Bathroom
About 2 weeks later on Halloween Day, which I find ironic, my mother went to draw some bath water in the fancy bathroom which coincidentally has an adjoining door to the annex. She left the bathroom for about 15 seconds to grab a towel from the linen closet down the hall and can remember hearing the bath water stop. She thought that it was weird since none of the kids were home to play tricks on her and my father was still at work (my grandmother I mentioned earlier lives elsewhere). So my mother, being a strong believer in spirits and other paranormal things, half-jokingly yelled out, "Oh you better turn my water back on! I don't have time to put up with ghosts today!" Within 5 seconds the water came back on at full speed and the bathroom became very cold. It wasn't a gradual drop in temperature either. She had the heater running for some time now and the cold still beat it out. This, if all the facts are straight, had me almost convinced that something strange was going on. Nevertheless, I kept brushing it off as coincidence and tired to explain it with faulty plumbing.

    3. The Hospital
About 500 yards behind our house in a field, there was a hospital built in the 1860s to house overflow patients suffering from a plague that swept the west at the time. I don't know too much more about the reason behind the hospital except for the few facts my dad learned from speaking with the base historian about it. The hospital had been run down, nearly falling apart, for some years. It had a mouse and rat infestation over the last several years and to combat it, the base maintenance workers had tagged about 20 cats and let them run free in the hospital on long leashes. This is where the story truly becomes scary: The cats refused to set foot in the hospital. They went so far as chewing through their tie-up ropes trying frantically to escape. Some may say that they just didn't want to be tied up, but once the cats were free, they would run about 100 yards from the hospital, turn around and sit hissing at the building with tails fluffed. This can be explained in many different ways, which is why it only adds partially to a supernatural explanation.

    4. The Livingroom
Downstairs in the house was a large livingroom area where we had a couch sitting diagonal across the corner of the room. This means there was about 4 feet of space behind the couch to the corner; space that my little brother and I absolutely loved to hide in and scare people sitting on the couch. One night about a month after bathroom incident, the three kids (my brother, sister, and I) were sick and went to bed early. My parents sat up and watch TV in the livingroom on the couch. After a while my mom kept feeling bits of her hair being pulled from behind the couch. She thought it'd be funny to turn around and scare whoever was messing with her before they got the chance to scare her. She jumped up, spun around and went "BOO!" behind the couch; only to spin back around terrified. There was no one behind the couch but she swears on her life that someone or something was pulling bits of her hair. This is the first time I seriously questioned normal from paranormal. I was honestly scared for the very first time.

    5. The Dog
This experience sealed my decision on spirits being in our old house. The dog we had at the time was very active and loved to climb up and down stairs. After about a year living in the new house my dad brought up the fact that he'd never seen Max, the dog, go up the stairs there yet. Of course we thought that was funny because he loved to climb up and down stairs, so we brought him to the foot of the stair landing and called him up. He wouldn't walk near the door leading to the upstairs. In fact, we had to drag him by the collar to the door to even see what was wrong. He would bark, hair standing up on his back, at the stairs and refuse to move. It got so bad after about 5 minutes of trying that his legs would shake and he would whine every time he walked near the stair landing. The kicker is that the only other time Max has ever barked at a building is when we took him on a walk during a tour of Charleston, SC. We passed an old mill that was supposedly haunted and he began barking at the front of it as we walked by. That truly sealed my beliefs that we were not alone in that house.

Overall it was a wonderful house to live in; it just got very terrifying after about a year in it. Luckily we only had one year left and the rest of the time was rather uneventful, mainly because we did everything we could to steer clear of the freaky things.

Have you ever had experiences with the supernatural?

    Nicely written.

When i was about 7 years old i was sleeping ontop of a bunkbed in my reserve.(I'm a native from canada research if you would like), And i woke up in the middle of the night to see a bunch of little men glowing sitting around the bunk bed. I started sweating heavily and i need to use the washroom bad but i made it to fall back asleep. I am 100% sure that i seen this and it wasn't a dream because i know how dreams feel like. Also i hear stories from my grandpa about little men in reserves and i know it's true and a bit creepy.
Also my uncle seen some little men in the bushes before while he was walking home. Very creepy D:

Supernatural Experiences: real events with no real explainations.

My cousins who live in Singapore moved into a new house, and the kids (5 and 7) said they saw doors open and close for no reason, heard and occasionally saw random people for brief moments in time in the house.

My aunt told me the temperature in some rooms would change drastically for no reason. They talked to the previous owners whose young children told their parents that there was a lady who came into their bedroom and talked to them at night.

The house was one of the houses used for torture and interrogation some 60 years ago. My cousins were unaware of this when they purchased it, so the strange observations weren't brought on by this knowledge.

I don't believe in the supernatural but it struck me as VERY weird. They moved out and it all stopped.

Well I live in Surrey and we have 2 acres of land with a stream towards the end of the garden. And across this stream is a solid makeshift shed pretty battered up and hasnt been in use since my Grandparents lived here(They moved to spain). My room over looks our meadow but in distance you can faintly see this shed and I can't explain it but sometimes I see it bright lit. Which is mind blowing and no I don't take drugs but my Grandad has always told me stories interesting stories about our meadow.

I don't believe in the super natural though its sometimes just in the head, or just a coincidence.

My great grandfather who died two years ago has a rocking chair that we placed in our living room. He was in the thing 24/7 almost. It rocks for atleast an hour a day by itself and we all swear it's him sitting with us.

I went to some supernatural sight where it was rumored that a bus full of kids had been stricken on the railroad tracks, killing everybody onboard.

I put my car in neutral on the tracks and I started moving forward (up a hill)

Got out, saw handprints on my car. There was an ass-load of people there doing the same thing, though.

I remember reading that same story somewhere...They'd put flour on the back of the car. Then sit on the tracks and wait. Very interesting.

I often dream insignificant events that always occur about a month after the dream, it's yet to fail me.

We've been meaning to fix that draft that always occurs in the corner of our living room around the time we always sit down.

    Oh, I see, sarcasm!
Drafts can occur at specific times of the day (even inside buildings) just because of the way different parts of the building heat up/cool down as the day progresses.

Zoom in on the left side.

This is a picture my cousin took, with her friend messing, with a weije board, in a cemetery.

The ghost is standing over a tombstone of a girl who died when she was twelve.

I can't think of one possible rational reason for this.

The brightness is edited in this picture for clarity.

Yes but do we always sit down at the same time each day?

    Edit: No... we don't

When I was a little kid, I used to run around the house a lot, but every time I ran passed my parent's bedroom, there was a woman crying blood out. But then when I turned around, she was gone and the floor was wet but no blood.
