Contact! 1Def/Pray Guide! [Range] -Boss Fight-

Ok, Recently, Ive seen a LOT of people asking how to do Contact! without having prayer or defence. I have done it. It was VERY hard to find out the scheme... I died 8x... Losing like.. 500k in total. But that's not the point.

Things you will need.
-A freind
-Around 70-75 range
-About 600k (Rough estimate)
-The Nerve to try it

Ok. Getting through the whole quest is pretty easy, until the scarab level 191.
So have a friend lead you through the maze, that way, you take NO damage.
Have ure invo as so.


Anyway, it should consist of the following.
-Range Pot
-Light source
-Tinderbox
-Antipoison (Which, I just recolored a range pot. )
-Rest Mantas
-Saradomin Brew (Optional, If you bring, bring like 2, and grab an extra range pot)

The way you get your invo to be this pretty, is by having a friend bank for you (one that already has contact! done.)

And now, your armor should consist of this.

Anyway, after he's lead you through, head down to the scarab, but before you face him, pot up. If you sara brew'd, take 2 doeses of range pot for every dose of sara brew. Then, attack him... Eat when needed, and try to hide behind the wall to fight the things he summons, it helps (As shown in picture).


After you kill him, its over pretty much. MAKE SURE YOUR NOT POISONED!!!! DRINK A DOSE OF ANTI JUST IN CASE!!!! I DIED BECAUSE OF IT!!!! Grab the dagger and gratz, ure done.

This might sound stupid, but why would you want Contact! done?

I'm not meaning that in an offensive way, i looked it up and it seems to give great experience, but what else is it for? Is it a requirement for another quest? Does it unlock a good training area?

 

Very good question.
Unlocking this quest enables pures [50atk ones] to wield the Keris.
Which allows you to hit incredibly high on kalphites. And that means great training there. ALSO, they can take on the kalphite guardians with ease, and they drop decent. Plus yes, the xp is great. But you also have to think... Not many 1def/prayer pures can do this quest. Glory was my number 1 reason for doing. The number 2 reason is, that it allows you to bank RIGHT by the pyramid plunder minigame, rather than staffing and ringing, and glorying [or w/e] all the way to bank then back. 99 thieve is achievable in under 90 hours with this quest done.
So yea,
This [1] quest, pwns a lot of others.

 

True, i have a pure and i love thieving, so it sounds like it'd come in handy for me.

I have 60 attack, would a d scim be better to train with on Kalphites? Or would a Keris still be better?

 

Ill be honest and say that Idk. BUT, Ive seen people hit 80+ with a keris. So im assuming, that a keris would blow a d skim away. But im not certain.

 

What is the point of doing Contact!, and I like your pro recoloring skills.

this quest definatly deserves a guide i tryed doing this quest on my maxed gs pure... and im nearly died 3 times lmfao. (the beatle in cell red barred me twice =X)
