Texting while driving

Many car accidents these days are caused by people who are distracted while driving. Whether it's a cell phone, music, texting, or changing pants, the percentage has increased year after year. Some states have even made it illegal to talk while on your cell phone. I will be the first to admit yes, although only at stop lights and if it is a short message( 3 words tops).What do you think about this? Do you text while driving?

its like drunk driving, your not at full atention. its all funny until you fucking die....

Weren't there another one of these commercials?

The other one was so unrealistic... one crashes because she was texting then 2 others crash into them even though that they knew they were there.

 

Car safety commercials are a joke. We have one that demonstrates the difference between 80 and 90 km/h through a turn, but they chose a turn where you shouldn't be doing more than 50-60 if you knew anything about driving...

 

Yeah, it's stupid... they make it look so bad that it's just not realistic.

 

I text while I drive. I'm just used to it.. I constantly look at my phone, and then back at the road, back at my phone, etc..

I'm sorry, but it's just not that dangerous if you are careful when you do it. It's no more dangerous than anything else.. Changing the radio, eating, etc..

 

Anyone who is texting and then crashes/kills another deserves to be prosecuted for murder.

 

Cases like these rarely happen though, I see people texting while driving all the time.
