Will paypal charge my account if I get my bank to reverse payment?

I bought a couple things online and paid mostly through paypal with my checking account. The items purchased were not as described. I opened a dispute and the seller didn't respond for over a week, so I escalated the dispute to a claim and the case was automatically closed. I won't go into more detail than this.

If I were to call my bank and reverse payment, which would leave me out about $5 but that's fine, would paypal try to charge my paypal account for the amount of money reversed? Would my account go into negative credit? What should I do to eliminate any repercussions that would affect my paypal account status?

Yeah i would definitly call paypal but you could also call your bank as well and tell them whats going on

 

I called paypal before I opened the dispute. They told me if I escalated the dispute to a claim then it would automatically be closed, so I categorized it under something else that it could fit in but apparently that is instantly closed too.

Update: I went to my bank and let them know of the situation and they basically told me all they could (or will) do is open a card dispute with paypal on my behalf. So that means that Paypal can deny it AGAIN and I would be shit out of luck.

Try to contact the seller, and see if you guys can work it out? If not, call paypal over and over and over again until they listen. It works.

 

Is the paypal account under your real name?
If it is, then Ide just take it that you got scammed and move on.

If not, Ide go to your bank and reverse the payment, close your account and make a new, and don't touch that paypal account ever again.

 

If you reverse from bank, you would have negative paypal...and depending on the amount, paypal might just leave it alone.

Try to call paypal and get a way to open another dispute and try it again. If paypal wouldn't support this, then immediately reverse from your bank.

 

I've tried contacting the seller. He's an asshole.

If my bank's dispute is denied by paypal then I will do what you suggested and bug paypal about it.

You can also just ignore it like i said I have had a negative balance on one of mine for 4 years and they did nothing...
