I think the only difference would be that the child grows up to be more understanding towards gay relationships. I don't think it would be more likely to be gay as an adult.

I don't care who marries whom.

I have nothing against them, they have nothing against me.

    ______

The only people against it are the god-fearing manipulated psychopaths.

Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

    why?
because some one told you so?
because you are scared of gay people?
it is important to think about why you feel so strongly that to people very much in love but incapapable of having children cannot adopt a child.

what about a couple in which the male is sterile?
should they not be allowed to adopt?

Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

Like I said before, what if they cannot distinguish between gay and straight relationships? Would they not think that being this way is normal?

Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

Absolutely, if someone has a different sexual preference than what is considered to be 'normal' within society, they should have just the same rights as everyone else. Some people may consider homosexuality immoral, but if you think about it, thats like saying "I don't like black people just because they have darker skin that I do". If someone said that, they would instantly be in trouble and looked down on by a majority of the people who witnessed the statement. If someone said the same thing about homosexuals, they might get into trouble if a homosexual was present, or if somebody was offended by it, but otherwise they would not. Homosexuals should be given exactly the same rights as heterosexuals.

Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

They have every right to be married imo..
What makes them any different to us except their sexuality, at the end of the day, their just humans like everyone else and deserve equal rights.

Christian ideas and other religious views againts this is just arogance in my opinion.

Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

Not a valid point. Gay kids more often than not have straight parents but they seem to figure out a homosexual relationship by the time they get the chance to get married.

Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

Why not.. gays should have the right to get married i mean look at fin coolest guy on sythe i know so why deny.. 2 people in love same sex or not to embrace each other. But at the same time im a muslim.. so i dont believe in gay marriage. This country is based on religion and freedom you have the right to express yourself however you choose does it matter if your gay black jew. (I kind of lost my point there.)

Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

Last time I checked we have a separation of church and state in this country so that really shouldn't matter.

Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

You know, the bible says "Man shall not lay with man". That DIRECTLY refers to sex. There is not one thing in the bible about gay marriage. The only reason it's currently not allowed, is because Christians like to interpret the bible in any way they see fit, and they push this loose interpretations on society as a way to get WHATEVER they want. And it's bullshit. Marriage is not about sex, it is about love. Homosexuals are capable of feeling love as much as any person. So why not let them get married? The bible doesn't say they can't, it says they can't have sex, and what they do behind closed doors is their own business. But not every relationship centers solely around sex, and the fact that we live in a world where people can't differentiate love from sex is pretty sad.

Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

Exactly. The bible says that gay men can't have sex, yet it is not illegal to in our society. The bible does not explicitly deny gay marriage (as far as I know), yet that is illegal in our society. Doesn't make too much sense, if you're using religion as a standpoint for this.

Well, that's how it should be; it's explicitly said in the Constitution...unfortunately it is not always adhered to.

The entire idea of marriage comes from religion. It is really a sort of binding and nowadays it also brings allot of social advantages allong.
Like here in the Netherlands a married couple is way better of then a single parent. And I am not talking about being the fact that two parents both work and earn more money.
It's also the case that in the Netherlands you can get married and it doesn't have anything to do with the church etc. It's just a formal bonding.
If that's too possible in America, I don't know what the deal is.
Like I said, religion base all their knowledge on false logic and even to say that they discriminate between gay and straight couples won't change much. Especially because I don't think the ruling class in America will allow this.
