[JavaScript]Need a working Cookie[JavaScript}

I have just purchased a book on html, and read the whole thing, and i THINK im ready to make my own webbrowser game, but i need a working cookie.

Heres what i need it to do, when you click the button, you get a point added, so you have 1 score. you exit the webbrowser, then, you reload it, and you have one score, so you can repeat. But heres the thing, whenever i exit the webbrowser, it deletes the cookie, which erases the score. ALL the javascript files i tried, does that, can i have one that wont delete the cookie?

Don't save it in a cookie, if the user clears their cookies they will lose their score. Save it server side in a MySQL database instead.
