    Learn how to lie better....

I've been practicing recently but I haven't taken the SATs yet. I actually have no idea when I'm taking them, but I know I take the PSAT soon. ( a few days)

    sophomore year PSAT:
    math- 410 reading-490 writing-480

A week ago I took the practice PSAT that I got in school.:
    math-660 reading-480 writing-580

He probably isn't lying. 1500 as a 7th grader is nothing special at all... By 7th grade most people will have learned the basic math and grammar rules, though the CR will vary.

Several middle schoolers score 800's on the math section every year...

I just thought 7th grade was a little bit too outrageous.

Maybe for UCs and state schools but for private schools they're a lot more focused on extra-curricular stuff and letters etc.

Yeah I have to take PSATs again this year.

They are nothing compared to the 5 hours of SAT, or w/e it is. The longness of it just killed me.

I got 2 wrong on my math and it brought me down to a 760.

Did you know that you can add a "0" to the end of each PSAT/NMSQT score to find the equivalent SAT scores?

Retaking on Saturday "R U PUMPED UP CUZ I AM"| IMMA GETTING 2410!@!#!#
but yeah, actually studied this time :\.
PSAT's are a little harder supposedly, miss a few get more points docked down.
I got 214 Sophomore year, so it was pretty darn accurate.
    To bad This year its
    Oct. 10 for Sat's
Oct. 17 for PSAT. Collegeboard fail.

    --
So true, some freshman at my school got 2380 during his 8th grade. .... My younger brother already has 2000 on the Barron's SAT book, and he's in 6th grade. - Younger children tend to mess up on the Essay and CR parts, apparently their grammar is better then high schoolers lol.
SAT's measure capacity through a short time compared to GPA, which is basically just getting through classes and learning.

Sorry for being stupid, but I haven't had school in a week so I don't know anything. I can't go to the college guidance dept. for a few days.

I know that the PSAT is soon. I think there are multiple SAT dates also, right? So I can pick one and take it then? Also for the subject tests I can take them at the end of the year?

October - Worst month to take it, literally no curve. (Asians take this one)
    November - Decent. (The Mix)
January - Your best bet, huge curve. (White people take this one)

By all means take all three, lol.
I'm pretty sure PSAT is Oct. 17th for everyone.
Subject Tests are at same time as SAT,
I recommend: MATH II , CHEMISTRY, WORLD HISTORY <- only if you take the AP class I tried with my Sophomore World history class and read the book, only got 730.... BIOLOGY.

I'll consider Math, Hebrew and some other stuff. I heard World History isn't worth it if you didn't take the AP since its such a huge topic. Same with Biology. Not so sure about Chemistry.

Also, can I take the SATs next year too?

    Junior year? Senior?
Senior year is to finalize your score, but tbh don't retake if you get over 2000 unless your avidly trying to get into a high tier, UCLA+,
But yes, senior year October, is the absolute latest.
Take the January test, its your best bet.
Do you plan on applying to NYU?

You wanna do this over MSN? I wanna give Columbia a shot just for the little chance I might get in. I was at NYU today to get my teeth checked out by students, and realized I can't fuck this year up like my 1st semester in sophomore year. I would cry if I got over 2000. As of now my best PSAT (I took 2) was only 177. I got a book this week though. I am going to work my ass of in these coming months. Also, does being this smart come naturally to you/rest of the asians ?
