[Help World Hunger 10 Grains of Rice at a Time!]

My math teacher just showed me this website today and he had all our whole class do this for about 30 minutes, in total we got around 91,000 grains of rice. Keep in mind about 1 cup of rice has 3500 grains (cooked rice) (raw has about 7000).

Anyways all you have to do is answer simple questions and 10 grains of rice will be donated for every right answer. I thought it was pretty cool, and I mean even if a few people do say 10 questions that still all adds up.

I don't own it or anything just thought I would share it. If this is advertising go ahead and infract me, I would rather get an infraction and help some people out that need it than not get an infraction and not help.

The website is legit too and you can get hooked answering questions.

I was up 10,000 grains of rice last week.
I think they donate anyways, they don;t care about it lol.

 

Sickening. "Hey, we have enormous amounts of rice at our disposal. But we will only give it to starving kids if you play our game".

 

I've played it before, I got bored with it really quick. I know its helpful but its boring.

And Schnell is totally right. It is pretty Sickening once you think about it.

No, it's not. Because you play the game, the advertisements pay the site money. Because the ads pay money, they donate rice.

 

Guys its not as bad as you think. I mean unless you yourself donate money to hungry people don't say this site is bad. Overall it helps out, on the first page I think you can see all of the rice that has been donated so far.

 

i donated 1000 grams of rice pretty fast, gonna go on and do a little each day, it all adds up ;D

It states that the money earned from the banners at the bottom of the page is used to buy the rice and feed the people.

 

The ads on the site are what helps supply the money for the rice. It makes perfect sense.

If they had no money, they would give less/no rice
When the ad agencies pay the nonprofit for posting ads, they get this money
people playing the game and seeing the ads is the motivation of the ad agencies to post the ads
thus, playing the game is an essential step in the process.

Explain to me how that is "sickening". I wouldn't make such negative statements if I didn't know what I was talking about.
