World War III

I am definitly sure that one or two countries from Asia will start the war. Or maybe Russia...

 

I think North Korea might start something, I mean with all the money they are using to fund nuclear missiles, the people of NK are starving... so maybe they dont plan to do this all in vain?

 

NK has said they plan too wipe the USA of the Map this was like 10 months back?
They never do anything they say unless it revolves around their country,their country only.

 

Very true but there must be an alternative motive to this? Why would they be making bombs for nothing?

That's my personal opinion. I doubt anyone really knows what goes on over there.

 

Yes but that cannot be the only motive that he has, Other countries were not really even interested in dealing with NK anyways right? Just the increased nuclear resources gets people worried.

There's always been tensions between north and south Korea. And since the rest of the world seem to side with the south, I can see why north needs an ace in their hand.

 

Yes you are right, everyone did side with the South when North Korea almost took over the North Peninsula.

And would it be fair to say that these countries sided with South Korea because communists are "bad?" Joined forces to fight the common evil?

 

I doubt that it will every happen, or at least not for a long long time. No one really have the motivation of starting a WW3. If you look at the first two WWs, a big reason they went to fight is because of an economical issue and an issue of land ownership.

Not a days, not every country is rich(infact less than half of all countries are said to be developed), but no country is going to see war as a way to solve any economical problem.

As for land issues, other than a few minor exceptions, all countries seem to be genuinly satisfied with the land they have, meaning a country wont likely go to war over and arguement about a possesion of land.

 

The main reason for the world wars was because of colonialism, it wasn't land essentially they wanted, it was the resources that the land held that made them take over territories

 

Nukes don't just get activated by being blown up. From what I've heard it takes a nuclear process or something, not just a nuclear explosion.

On-topic, I think a WWIII is possible, but it wouldn't be much of a war; it'd be a slaughter. The first country to attack would likely be the winner, considering there is no such thing as a minor or non-devastating nuclear attack.

 

I think that if a country were to plan on attacking another, new would leak and the other country would be ready to respond immediately, so im thinking both sides, no matter who wins, will get out of it without some damage

Kim Jong Ill might be crazy but he isn't stupid. He knows that if he spits on US soil, South Korea, USA, Britain, and maybe even Russian will level his pitiful country.

Really, have you gone over the general rules for the SFA section? No one wants to hear you purely opinion based questions UNLESS you have some argument behind it backing it up.

 

I don't think it'll ever happen. Just that the war would end in like 2 days with a countries capital being blown up.

Well I guess with nuclear warheads there's not much that can be done to stop it, so maybe it is just a balance of power. Just so no one has any funny ideas...

 

Most likely china or japan or even germany will start a war wit us... we would probably lose since most of our soldiers are in iraq and afganistan. were basically wide open

2. You think they would win before USA could get their soldiers home?

There is no way any country could send a big invasion without US intelligence, and everybody else in the world, knowing about it.

Why would Germany start a war with us? Why would Japan? We practically defend Japan with our military bases, and starting a war with us would be on the bottom of priorities. Same thing with Germany, they would never want to fight us.
