Awesome 1-99 Woodcutting Guide (Pics)

Hi everyone, I was bored today and decided to make a decent Woodcutting guide. I am currently 99/99 Woodcutting. This guide is split into Members and Non Members. I won't have any special sizes or colors because the box to change that doesn't show up for me anyways.

[WCP1]

To me, woodcutting is an awesome skill and very easy. It may get repetitive after awhile but once you are 99 you have that 'finished' feeling.

Axes:
There are many axes in Runescape and these are the main ones:


In order they are Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, Adamant, Rune, and Dragon(Members). I did not include black because it's very expensive and steel is fine from 6-21. The cool thing about woodcutting axes is that you do not have to wield them to use them. So you could have 1 attack and use a dragon axe, as long as you have 61 woodcutting. You will not be able to actually wield it, you have to keep it in your inventory...which means you will get one less log every time you bank.

Trees:
There are also many trees in Runescape, here are the main ones:



All of these trees can be found everywhere throughout Runescape. The money maker trees (Yews and Magics) are marked with a tree symbol on the map and minimap. There is now Choking Ivy (members) which requires level 68 and can be found in these locations: North wall of Varrock Palace, South-east outer wall of Varrock Palace, North side of the north wall of Falador, South side of the south wall of Falador, South-east of Taverley, East wall of East Ardougne church, North side of the north wall of Yanille, South wall of Castle Wars. [WCP2]

The only special equipment you should have if you really want it is Lumberjack Clothing. It is obtained from the Temple Trekking minigame. I haven't tried to get the clothing so I don't know much about it. I know that the top is very hard to get, and if you're wearing the full set you get a 2.5% bonus XP per log.

Non Members Guide:

So you're a non member who wants 99 Woodcutting? Well here is the guide!

Woodcutting 1-15
You should have a bronze axe from tutorial island or an iron one that you bought. Wield it or keep it in your inventory and walk to Draynor. Once there, go to this spot and chop regular logs. Watch out for the Jail Guards though.


15-30
Once you hit 15, equip your steel hatchet and walk east of the Draynor bank. You should see an oak tree, chop this until 30. On oak trees you can get more then one log per tree so training is faster.

30-99
You've done it, you made it to the last step in your Woodcutting. Yep I'm not kidding. You will chop in this same spot, same trees, for 69 levels. Here is a picture for you, the blue path is if you are a skiller, also I advise you chop on the southern trees so the wizards don't attack you.


Now if you want money I would chop yews from about 65-99. 70 also works and is a little faster. A great Yew spot is Edgeville located here:

So you're a member looking for a new 99? Well here you go here's the guide for 99 Woodcutting.

Quick Guide:
METHOD 1-
Basically just do all the same thing from the non members section until you hit 30. You then need to chop Willows to 35. Finish the Jungle Potion quest which is very easy. Head to Tai Bwo Wannai village and cut at the place with the tree marker. You then should drop the logs because banking them is a long walk and no point. To get inside the place you need trading sticks, search them up on google to find out how to get them.
METHOD 2-
Well just get to 30 using the non member guide and then head to the Barbarian Outpost. It is next to the Barbarian Assault minigame. There are willow trees outside of the minigame room, chop them and run back to use the deposit box. Fast way to bank and faster xp.
METHOD 3-
Your third option after 30 is to go to Catherby willows. Chop them and bank. The bank is right east of the trees. Use the Camelot teleport and go south.
METHOD 4-(Best method) Your fourth option is to cut Choking Ivy. You can cut Ivy all day because it never gives you an item in your inventory. You get 332.5 experience per Ivy cut. It is very fast experience.

Detailed Guide:
METHOD 1-
Follow the non member section to 30 and cut willows to 35 at Draynor. Head to Karamja by bringing 30 gp to Port Sarim (South of Falador) and take the boat. Or use a Glory Amulet. Head south from there and look for this spot on the map. Remember you need to do Jungle Potion which is a very easy quest.

METHOD 2-
Barbarian Assault. Probably used to be the second best experience in the game. First being teaks then but now Ivy is the best. But if you're feeling like willows then you can come here. Bring everything you need ahead of time because the bank doesn't have a withdraw option. Here's the map on where it is.

Usually not crowded now and easy experience. Bank is very close to the trees. Use this from 30-68 then go to Ivy if you want.

METHOD 3-
Catherby Willows. This is the method I used from 69-99. It worked for me and it can work for you. The bank is close to the trees and yews are a little farther west if you want to earn some money. Here it is on the map:


METHOD 4-(Best Method)


As you can see, Choking Ivy is very crowded. There are multiple spots for Choking Ivy including: The spots for Ivy are: North wall of Varrock Palace, South-east outer wall of Varrock Palace, North side of the north wall of Falador, South side of the south wall of Falador, South-east of Taverley, East wall of East Ardougne church, North side of the north wall of Yanille, South wall of Castle Wars (source: http://www.zybez.net/skills.php?id=11). My favorite spot is North wall of Varrock Palace for really no reason. The only annoying part about the spot is that there is a Staircase on the inside part of the palace and you sometimes click it. Easily avoidable if you choose a different spot of ivy. Choking Ivy doesn't give you an item in your inventory when you cut it so you can sit there all day and gain experience. You get 332.5 experience per ivy cut. Very fast experience and very recommended for 68-99.

Cutting ivy is better xp then willows. and teaks. 325xp ea and u dont need to drop/bank. easy for doing other things while doing it. require 68 wcing though.
