He couldnt hit em, roys fat ass was on his head. Roy knew if he had to stand up and trade with him he woulda got knocked out. And if he got side/full mount there was still a chance of being knocked out. So he took the pussy route and held him in a crucifix with all his weight concentrated on the head.

 

Roy won that match by exploiting Kimbo's worst attribute, his ground game.

Fair game IMO, Kimbo needs to work his ground game if he is going to be a serious fighter.

 

Roy was smart to take it to the ground but that made it a boring fight tbh. Hopefully Kimbo gets a chance at some more exciting fights though.

 

kimbo was about to knock roy out but he took it to the ground... the cheap way out IMO.

yeah and then the CEO of ufc was like "this dude thinks hes good because of this?" or something... basicialy ripping on roy for thinking it was a good fight

 

I'm glad Kimbo lost. He thinks he's such a hard-ass because he kicks the shit out of random people off the street. It just shows that it takes skill to be in the UFC.
I do think that the fight was lame, though. Kimbo could have easily won against that guy if he just fought smarter.

 

Kimbo sucks when hes pinned to the ground. All it takes is a fat white guy to beat him.

It was a sucky fight, I was disappointed, not in Kimbo, but that Roy was too big of a pussy to try and stand up. So he took the bitch way out and pretty much made Kimbo eat his man tits.

Kimbo's gonna be back next week and kick some ass.

 

Yea that's true, the reason why he's good(at street fighting) is because he's. Fairly big man, and he has an aspect of intimidation, which I could tell when watching his first fight. But in the ufc these guys learn submission hold and other techniques, bot to mention Brazilian ju jitsu

I guess you could say he's fighting by instinct rather than using any technique you train for. Almost like he just uses brute force instead of skill...

I do agree, but in most cases there is not much you can do when your on the ground, half the time you find a fighter on the ground is because

A) they were hit just in the right spot to be dazed
B) you trip

and as cruel as it is, fighters take that opportunity to throw their full weight into the punch, and when your on the ground like that, it's one hell of a punishing shot.

I'm not exactly sure of what you meant by ground work but in my head this is how I see it >_< but all in all I agree with you

 

I meant like, the opponent doesn't have to worry about Kimbo getting up b/c he can't.
