    hardest math question ever
    you have an eight foot tree limb that is two or three inches in diameter. what is the easiest way to turn it into one foots length of firewood?

    It cant be two or three inches in diameter, has to be one or the other. Without the specifics in the equation it can not be solved.

    No, you divide it into 8th, the diameter doesn't matter.
