Good lord so much crap here...

Don't worry so much about supplements, stop worrying about curling, and start eating more and hitting bigger compound lifts.

You aren't going to stunt your growth lifting weights. Compression forces on the spine and rest of your body is greater running or jumping than squating or oh pressing. (Unless you can squat like 4x your bw...)

If you start working out and using supplements, i'ts very possible you'll stop growing at an earlier age

Evidence? I'd consider myself living proof this probably doesn't happen; I started lifting at 5ft10 at 14, am now 6ft1 at 16.

That might only happen if you lift way to much for your weight and end up damaging your bones or affect your growth plates.

Keep working out, as much as you can handle don't listen to the people who say don't untill your 16 its the same trash I was told. and I foolishly lost my ambition of body building. But I wouldn't recommend supplements just yet. You already have a mature build by what you say so don't worry about your growth.

Lol. Nice try on lieing. 8kg is a huge difference between 45kg..

And if you do start drinking those proteins shakes then you need to drink alot of water.

Since your actually using supplements, hopefully you do some good exercises, and do them properly, and not just trying to curl everyday.

If you think supplements are going to be the one piece of the puzzle that you're missing, you're going to be very disappointed op. Start eating more meat, eggs, milk, nuts, oatmeal, brown rice.

Continue without... They do shit all.

If you have a bananced diet, you get plenty of protien... If you have protien shakes, all you do is pee it all out, because it's not needed.

A kid in my class as been drinking protien shakes for about 6 months now... Muscularly, he's not changed at all.

Also, I know all this is true... In Biology we were having a big talk about it. Our biology teacher, who is also a rugby player, said protine supliments are a con. You get enough protien in your diet anyway.

If you wanna get bigger at your age, SWIM! It doesn't halm your joints at all, unlike lifting weights, etc, and trust me, it keeps you in shape. Also, maybe do 20-30 push ups each morning and evening, maybe a little less often.

i started doing weights at 14.. and i've been growing up as a big kid, all i can suggest is why dont you just eat more? I had times when I was getting really really strong legs, 180kg leg press 12 reps/3sets at 14 and a half.. and i had thought about getting protein shakes because it was advertised ALL over my gym.

All I can say is, if you want more protein, go to your mum, or dad and tell them to cook you more protein. so you can have a natural source, with good protein.

Good protein foods = Meat- beef, steak, t-bones, chicken etc.
Eggs, and FISH <--- Really good protein.

and to all the people that say it stunts growth, im 6'2 atm, and closing to 16.
IT IS ALL ABOUT GOOD FORM.

EDIT:: Avocado is a great source of protein as well

1st of all, BULLSHIT you can curl 45KG with one hand. And don't go on anything or even do gym until your 16, you can stuff up your growth.

Excess protein is converted to fat, not peed out.

perhaps because his diet and training suck?

Sure, you can get enough protein to build extra muscle from real food, but gram for gram whey powder is often much cheaper than say chicken or egg whites. Not to mention how convenient it is.

Swimming isn't going to make you gain much muscle.

Protein Isolate powder - simply put, a rich, solitary protein. None of this protein by product bs like pigs feet and whey powder mixed with egg yolks and goat milk, Which would just say "protein concentrate" and not tell you which protein types are inside. Protein Isolate ensures one type of quality protein which usually states the protein type (whey, soy, milk, etc)

Amino acid pills - your body does not produce all essential amino acids itself, therefore you can either ingest these from food items, or better yet pill form. Without all amino acids in your system your 50g protein supplement is only going to be 30g in the end. With all amino acids your body does not waste protein. Getting all amino acids in your daily diet will ensure close to 100% of ingested protein to be retained. Helps speed up metabolism as well.

Healthy diet - Egg albumin (de-yolked eggs: egg whites), Tuna, Chicken, whole grains, switch to brown bread, peanut butter, bacon is good surprisingly, peanuts, milk, fruits for energy, alot of vegetables and grains to keep you fuller, longer. Just a few examples. Eat 5-6 times a day small meals, rather than 2-3 times a day to speed up your metabolism.
Remember low carb, high protein. You want to burn the carbs relatively fast so you will be fueled by the protein quicker and burn it all off. You will need alot of calories per meal as well to gain mass - make sure the calories are not sugars, salts or fats. (some fats are good hence the bacon)

I can blab for hours - but just a few tips.

    Hope this helps.
