Aion Section?

Sorry, but I think this is a terrible idea. The Xbox Sales section won't get promoted out of the Other Sales section, but then we just add Aion to the main page?

I think it's stupid. I'll be denied, I don't care. I'm making my point.

 

I completely agree, but perhaps Sythe was paid for the section to be made.

Until announced, I guess we must sit in wonder.

Well this game is suppose to be alot better then WoW. Maybe he is hoping to be the first site to bring in Aion blackmarket traffic?

 

You have a sure fire market in the Xbox Sales section, but it gets shot down every time it's suggested? It doesn't make any sense..

 

Seeing as AION is a rather brand new MMO, I'd imagine he anticipated enough black market activity to warrant its own section.

It's not that it's popular enough to deserve its own section; paradoxically, it's simply too small to survive in a side forum. It's a new game, and we don't expect most members to know about it - by giving it its own section, we're trying to promote it, and encourage users to give it a try.

Although I have no opinion about this particular game, having never played it myself, I think expanding the userbase and (hopefully) attracting new members is a welcome idea. So many people on this site are ban evaders by now; some fresh blood would be nice.

 

Aion is supposed to kill WoW, shortly. Just wait a little bit and a I asure you there will be a lot of active members in that section.

 

I wouldn't doubt it killing WoW, just look at it.

So we'll promote a new game and give it the front page, hoping it promotes new members, but hide of some of the more active sections that new members may not be able to find? Makes sense to me.

With this logic I should suggest every new MMORPG should get a main page because I can claim it's going to "kill WoW".

 

It's not even the addition that bothers me, because I could care less, but it's the fact that it's another section above UE and Gen. Disc. Both of these sections are far more important than this new Aion section. Now that they are moved down even more, they are going to lose new members and possible activity.

 

You don't want to attract xbox users, or maybe ps3 users? Why don't you also try to attract evony users, and the 500 other mmorpgs out there? This site isn't an attraction site, for other games. Most everyone that joins the site joins it for runescape, and there is no real base for aion. Someone playing aion will not join this site alone just for its itty bitty section, and tiny blackmarket. Someone who plays runescape, might move onto aion from here but thats all I really see you are going to get.

 

As far as I know, sythe is the only site with a blackmarket for Aion.

Search in google "aion blackmarket" and sythe.org is the first result.

 

There are a few sites with Aion markets already (cough markeedragon).
Although, I like the thought of there being an Aion blackmarket here.
I've always liked that Sythe has been slowly moving away from RuneScape, and with Aion having the best launch since WoW (literally, look it up) it was a great idea giving it its own section. Just give it time, the reason there aren't a bajillion threads already is because nobody has made enough gold/kina to be worth selling yet anyway.

@Grahm (or what the fuck ever): Sythe is clearly primarily a black market, for games, you see? I don't think anyone gives a fuck about the User Educator section except for User Educators and stoned kids that like to read tutorials on the completely obvious.

@Cfrey, I agree in a way but it's also clear that Sythe is trying to move on from being just a RuneScape market.
There are a lot of people in the Steam section, WoW section, that don't even play RuneScape.
Aion section was a good idea, even if the user base that plays it and posts in it right now will be small, eventually it'll get bigger as there really aren't that many sites for Aion yet.
