So i was about to buy some WoW Gold, and my AVG Pops up, saying there is a trojan


Picture Proof.




Now i know, if any of my accounts get hacked soon, i know who to blame.

 

Someone also posted, and had tons of proof, about USfine bribing them to give good vouches,reports, etc

 

Well is my computer at risk?

I know shit all about trojans etc. I know they are harmful, thats all

 

Did your avg, norton, or whatever you have delete it?

Just run an anti-virus scan.

 

Yeah just run a virus scan and dont enter your password for anything untill it is done.

They also bribed someone here on sythe to post good reports about them.

 

ive bought from them many many times, and even bought power leveling without any troubles. although thats because i made friends with one of the main levelers (free coupons ftw ).
but i have never got any viruses from them, and its pretty uncommon to get a virus by just viewing a page.

 

That explains why my password was changed to my main before.

 

Yeah, i'm trying to find a site to report them too, seems i have a bit of proof.

 

Guys, I'm not a USFINE fan boy or anything, but this really isn't adequate proof of ill intention.

The website was probably hijacked from a malicious popup - if I'm not mistaken, the URL of the hijacker is in the warning box posted. If not, trojan's in A LOT of AV's nowadays are a rather generic term - often false positives.

Scan your computer, but I wouldn't be overly worried. If you have updated firewall software, you shouldn't be easily infected from just visiting almost any sort of website.

 

Yeah well it popped up on there site. i'm trying to shut them down, when i find somewhere to report them, i will.

 

How do you plan to shut them down?

Even though they say they are U.S. based I'm somewhat doubtful that they are hosted here...

If they are, it's not going to be something any single person can do at all. If not, you'll have no chance whatsoever.

 

It's obvious they are Chinese, can just tell by the way they type/grammar.

I'm not sure, just need to find the right site to report it to.

 

Yeh they're Chinese and they're rubbish at english. Also this has happended to me on Norton. I left the site. No point arguing on Live chat. They give you no assistance.
