Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

Wars are started because they think that it is needed. It isn't.


Someone talks shit about me, I say, fuck it, if I don't do anything, I just sit there and make fun of them making fun of me. Or, later on, I do something to them. Like steal/something to their property. Something devious and something I can't get caught by doing.

 

Should we also stone them to death if they are found with another man?

 

I have to bring up another topic.

Is it acceptable for gays to be christians? Because (I think) In the bible it says that anyone can be a christian. The few times I've ever went to church I've met gay people there and no one seems to mind, or at least they don't in front of his face.

 

I'm talking about modern day though. Neither that other guy nor I will be killed anytime soon for being homosexual. So if either of us attends a church there is nothing they can really do about it. They can't tell us to leave, they're Christians. But I’m sure they'd do something like bring us up in front of the whole church and pray for us or something else to embarrass.

And I'm pretty sure if I ever do show up to church I know what the preaching will be on. It’s like they try to single you out, shame you into hating what you are.

Technically, you are, but by the book, not entirely. Being gay, is considered one of the bigger sins. Even though, being a christian only states that you believe Jesus is your savior, there are some packages that you must carry to be considered a postman.

 

In theory it shouldn't be, but in practice there are gay priests. Modern Christianity is watered down to a joke.


The real question should be: Is it acceptable for gays to be alive in a Christian community? The Bible says no.

 

Then why are so many christians accepting gays and treating them like family. YET they don't approve of us marrying. But we can still get together and play poker on friday. Well, idk if christians are allowed to play poker...

Well then, either religion is perfect, and you're just fucked up, or religion is hypocritical, and you're just different.

I personally choose the latter.

Well if you bring religion into any sort of debate, no logic will come out of it...because the majority of it in itself is illogical/irrational.

 

You wouldn't think so many people would be for this stuff then...

 

As I said, Christianity is watered down and no longer follow their sacred book. Everyone is free to decide what part of the Bible is wrong and what is right. To me that is just ridiculous.

 

How so? Do you believe people to be generally rational?

 

They should have the right to have some sort of ceremony representing eternal bondage but not marriage marriage is a religous vow that was inteded for a man and a women

 

I think they should have the right. Just because someone is different doesn't mean that they can't do certain things.

 

That's like saying a man should be allowed to play women's sports.

 

Sports are just as public as the government is.

On-Topic; Why shouldn't homosexuals have the right to get married? If they find someone they are compatible with I don't see why we have to have a say if they can or can not spend a life forever together.

However, with the right of them getting married also brings the right of freedom to assemble, anywhere anytime of the day. Making a protest outside of the couples house, work, social occasions, etc, with allowing two - same gendered individuals to take hands in marriage brings lots of responsibility's and a long road of discomfort for the community, which does not have a problem in telling the homosexual couple their feelings.

Same gendered citizens promising their lives together comes with a extremely large bounty over their heads. Never will they live in peace.

Although gay marriage should be acceptable, in my eyes I do not believe it should be.

Gays cause too much chaos, violence and destruction upon the community. We must think of ourselves as a community to understand survival, not specific individuals such as gays.

Those who are highly opinionated about gays can tolerate them being a couple, when these specific individuals (gays) try to ruin tradition (different gender marriages, female + male) the economy, that then tolerated he gays quickly changes to violence and destruction to our community, not resting until justice is placed into the puzzle such as it was years and years ago.

 

Are we talking about the same sports leagues?

 

1. The government isn't in question here, the church is.
2. Sports also receive public funding.
