I plan on having a career hence I won't get a tattoo.
But I will get a gum tattoo soon. I just need to think of what to put there.

Actually if you have your tattoo hidden it won't matter.

Right, they will know if your back is tattooed or your chest? I have a tattoo and I actually apprenticed in a big Corporate environment. Many people had tattoos that could be covered with a shirt.

I know a lawyer who works for Microsoft who has a tattoo on his forearm.

Don't assume that everyone who has a tattoo will not be successful.
