I bought an account off him for 700m OSRS and we agreed in TOS he would buy back for half price but he has been ignoring me for 8 days How they scammed: He agreed to buy back account for half price, but it has been over a week of me asking him every day to buy it back and he has continuously ignored me and during the rare times where he actually replies he just makes excuses. The small issue with the TOS is that we never really stated a timeframe for him to buy back, I just asked him if I'm allowed to sell back the account and he said yes he would say yes to buying it back but only for half price. I am not sure if what he is doing is scamming but I have been waiting on him for 8 days or more to buy it back and he has just been ignoring me. Every time I ask him for a date on when he can buy it back he just says "soon" or ignores me and idk what else to do so I am reporting. After I told him I would report him he replied back (finally) with a cocky response saying "For? :3" I guess he has no intentions of paying back.

@owen kruger He isn't obligated to buy it back from what I am seeing in your screenshots. You ask if you can sell it back to him if you decide to, and he says yes but not for the full amount. But he doesn't have to if he decides not to.

I will let him explain his side, but from what I am seeing this is not a scam.

 

@Devil Thank you for your response Devil but I wanna make something clear. The ONLY reason I agreed to buy the account was because HE ASSURED ME IF I NEEDED TO SELL IT BACK HE WOULD BUY IT BACK FOR HALF PRICE, which I was totally ok with (selling it back for half price). I assured you that you say it is fine, but without money how do I buy it? you must be a little for me also I told you that I have not been much time on the pc because of personal problems.
You also told me that you lost everything in stake, but you can't get so desperate.
additionally you are defaming me, this is not a scam.

 

well devil, these are things i don't understand clearly it's not a scam. for starters. and if i'm going to buy back his account between today or tomorrow i'll get out of my personal problems. i'll privately agree with him. if you need anything else i'll be here.
but i don't think you should accept that he calls me a scam.

 

@owen kruger I am not holding @denisike obligated to buy the account back at all. It isn't until you already paid the 697m that you ask him if you can sell it back. That is hardly a contract.

If @denisike decides to buy it back, then he can. But he isn't beholden to a time frame that you want him to be.

This has been re-discussed further by staff. Staff determined that @denisike is responsible for 50% of the purchase as this was used as a selling point which locked in the buyer for the account. Although the payment was made before this was assured, the account hadn't yet been transferred over so the buyer could have backed out had this 50% refund assurance not been made.

@denisike will keep a DNT until he refunds 348.5m 07 (697m x 0.5). Please let me know on this thread once this has been paid to @owen kruger and your DNT will be removed.

And why the dnt I ask? was there a stipulated date or something?

@denisike Your DNT will be removed but you will be issued a TWC for poor trading practices due to bad communication. And also for not informing Owen that you weren't OO until the trade already started.

The TWC will last 30 days after which you may dispute its removal.
