How many of you are getting Halo ODST?

I want to know how many of us are getting Halo ODST, my brother just got home with it at 12:22 PM.

 

I was thinking of getting it, but decided to wait until the price drops. It looks very fun.

 

I am going to watch my brother play it now. Will post again when I see if i like it or not.

 

No, because:

1) I don't own an xbox 360
2) It looks like shit anyway; Halo went to the shits after Halo 2.

 

Dont judge the game when you have never played it, (assuming you havn't played it seeing as how you don't have a 360)

 

If I can get another job I may consider it, gotta use the last of my money sparingly.

 

You don't have to own the console to play the game; friends, store demos, etc.

Baka. There are more ways to examine gameplay than actually playing the game.

 

Studying a game isn't telling you how good it is, you're doing boring work when you could just play the game. So, you don't really know what it's like.

 

You really don't understand. I don't expect you to understand, either. Whatever. You say "boring work" but in effect it is quite the opposite. I am a very analytical person, so it is almost automatic for me to study something before making any decisions. You seem to be making your opinion purely on the fact that it is a part of the Halo series, and you seem to be starting an argument simply because I think it's not very good.

For the matter, Studying a video game without playing it is not at all boring, actually. The gameplay videos, biased and unbiased reviews, and so on are always interesting and can generally contribute vastly to your understanding of the mechanics of the game itself. I can safely say I would not like Halo 3: ODST based on what I've seen, INCLUDING but not limited to gameplay, and I can safely say that I place it in the same boat as Halo 3, which I think majorly sucked.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the series. I just think it's overhyped. The original Halo was brilliant, but after Halo 2 everything really went to the shits in my personal opinion. I AM entitled to an opinion, right?

 

Back on topic, yes I will be getting it, along with MW2

 

I'm talking about how you rejected Halo 3, not ODST, you've never played ODST, and I have played Halo 3 for quite some time, resulting in the fact that I enjoy it, and not just because it is part of the "Halo" Series. You judge the game based on reviews of other people and whatever you mean by studying it, but your opinion is all that matters, and I am guessing you havn't played the game, so you have no opinion in it.

But! On a side notes, Halo 2 was great. 100x better than any of the Halos in my opinion, and yes, it is overhyped, but that is because of the 10 year old children who get the game, and think it is amazing because it is the only game they've ever played. Personally, I think the original Xbox destroys the 360 in the subject of games. But as soon as the xbox 360 came out, the creators of the Halo series thought they had to make the biggest, and baddest game alive, resulting in to much detail, effects, and so on and so forth just like a bad movie, All I am saying is, just don't judge a game if you have never played it, Like the saying, "Don't knock it till' you try it."

The multiplayer is essentially the same as the original Halo 2 as well.

BTW I'm going to need some people who don't suck ass at halo in general (since a completely different strategy has to be used) to help me get achievements after I beat it. I want recon as fast as possible before everyone has it. Then it gets to be gay when everyone has it (IE Hayabusa)

No I dont have an Xbox360, I tend to stick to the PS2, Gamecube, and Nintendo64. If one of my friends gets it, Ill probably go over and check it out though.
