Ban "homework help" topics from RL Items secton

Well, hey..

It falls under the category of cheating, doesn't it?

When you're paying people to do your homework for you there is no guarantee that they're giving you the right answers.

And when it comes test time they most likely won't have the practice needed to pass.

Agreed. (Even though some help would of been nice ). People should do it by themselves. If they don't, they don't learn anything. Not trying to be a nerd or something but still, you gotta learn to do it.

I say ban it from all forums, and create a new forum or expand an existing one with the purpose of "homework help" threads being there exclusively.

 

good job for recognizing that cause seriously if you pay some one to do you homework sure but help..

 

I believe that this is too broad of a topic to come to a conclusion upon. Some people could call it cheating, because in all reality it very well could be. Some people may pay others to obtain a grade they wouldn't achieve by doing the homework themselves. At the same time, I am the laziest S.O.B. I know. Even though I know I'm very much capable of doing something, I sometimes would rather pay to get it done than to do it myself. I right now have a thread going on in which I am writing essays and other creative pieces for people that need it. The reason I am doing it is not solely for profit, but because I actually enjoy writing. Why not help others for a very low cost while doing something I love to do?

 

No, this section shouldn't be banned.

Sometimes people just need a little help getting started on their homework. I am more than happy to help people as long as they don't ask me to do the whole assignment.

 

There's a sticky for this in the appropriate section.. It doesn't belong in the RL items section. Just to clarify, I did not say to ban the real life items section because it sounds like you think that's what I said. I'm not sure.

If they need help then that's fine. But by "homework help" I meant spamming the fuck out of the RL items forum with 70% of the first page being "writing essays" or "DO MAH HOMEWORK PLEASE!" and paying someone to do the entire assignment for them is pretty pathetic.

 

Well if you want to be like that, then the sales of hosting, codes, and everything else virtual should be allowed in the NON-virtual section too.

A great solution would be a "Virtual Goods & Services" section.

 

I think its fine tbh.. can't see why we are to decide if people want to learn or not, we can pay people for alot of weird stuff on here, why not homework?

Someone wants to pay, and someone wants to get paid, i see no loss of that. Atleast not to my concern.

 

Yeah i agree. It should be okay if it's just one or two questions you need answered, but not whole assignments.

It's completely different. Why are you making an issue out of something completely insignificant?

 

There's more problems than just homework help in the Non-Virtual Items section. People are selling all kinds of things that are virtual, including "homework help" which is a virtual service. Hosting is the rental of a part of a physical computer. Gift card codes can be turned into real life material. See, if you go with your concept, everything is physical. There's also the problem of everything "buying" non-virtual items with accounts, which will never be resolved because it's not even made very clear in the stickies. It just says Runescape Accounts can not be bought or sold, but everyone assumes that they are allowed to "buy" non-virtual items with virtual.

I support this 100%, if you don't do your homework, what are you learning, then come test time and you FAIL. The only thing good coming outa this is that we all get to laugh at you and you hopefully learn your lession
