Got a giant bee nest hanging from my tree, bigger then a football and dont know were the hell it came from. Any one know how I could take it down without getting stung or paying 200$ for a bug guy to come do it for me

Shoot it with a paintball gun from your door when its down simply close the door. Or throw a baseball, soccerball, etc at it from your door.

    Ok heres my proposal.
    Go onto cod5
    get a flamethrower..
    burn the shit outta bees
    problem solved :)

alternatively, safely remove it by throwing something at it from a good distance?

get a bee costume and stand around their hive, they'll eventually trust you enough to allow you to go inside. Once inside sneak into the queens chamber and inseminate her. Within the next few hours or so your bee-man hybrid child will be born and upon his 1st birthday he will have gained political influence within the colony thus threatening the queens birth right to royalty. Whatever followers the queen has left will immediately evacuate her to a new nest atleast 3 kilometers away leaving you in charge of your own small bee empire.

Hope this helps you out man, it worked for me.

Is there an actual problem with it being there?

Take some honey and put it on the other side of the world. That'll do it

When this happened in my yard, i stood across the street and threw rocks at it until the bottom half fell onto the ground. I left the house for a few hours, and all the bees were gone, then i destroyed all the remains of the nest.

    Hope it works for you.

    This.

If you set the thing on fire I heard smoke does something to them or some shit.
But seriously if you got a Bee nest dude I would build a fucking colony and make honey and sell it.

This happend to me once, so I made sure I had no skin exposed, then went outside with a large plastic sack and a rolling pin. Put the bag underneath the nest (so the nest is partially in the bag), and then smack it really hard with the rolling pin (near the top, where it joins the tree). Let it fall into the bag, and then twist the top so they cant get out. Carry it over to something like a dustbin, and stuff it in there (I filled mine with water first so they would drown). They hey presto, you have removed the nest.

Mmmmm I got this crazy idea. . .it JUST might work!

    Items required:

    - 2x Black Garbage bags
    - 1x Pair of leather work gloves
    - 1x Role of duck tape
    - 1x Pair of giant balls
    - 1x Knife

    Directions:

1: Take your 2 black heavy duty garbage bags and double bag them (put one inside the other

    2: open the bag up

3: Run to the Bee's nest and gently BUT quickly put the bags around the bee's nest

4: When the bags are completely around the bee's nest break it down anyway you can. . .QUICKLY!

5: Once bee nest is free from the tree, TWIST garbage bag immediately to help prevent the escape of those pesky bee's.

6: Duct tape the garbage hole as you see fit

7: Place garbage bag in Neighbors mailbox

8: Have your knife ready, stab a couple of holes in bag.

    9: Close mailbox IMMEDIATELY!

    10: Run away

11: Set up camera facing mail box for your enjoyment.

    Game. Set. Match.
