Need help, Have a bad ass trojan.

Hello.

a few weeks to a month ago, i got a trojan.gen on my computer. When i got it i tryed running Malwarebytes antimalware and it prevents me from opening it. So i googled how to fix it. They said make a copy of Mbam.exe (The main file to open it) and rename it because the virus stops you from opening mbam.exe so i did.

Now mbam opens and when i go for a scan it scans for 1-2 seconds then closes. This is most likely to do with the trojan. Ive tryed Avira antivirus, AVG, Norton, Super antispyware and a few more.


Nothing.


Any help please?

 

I'd just reformat my computer if I were you. :|

 

What do you mean remformat? ive tryed using windows XP's program to reinstall the computer to a previous date but it fails everytime.

 

reformat means completely wipe the hard drive, and reinstall windows. Basically, start from scratch.

 

Don't have the CD to reinstall.

 

Depending on what model computer you have, you might be able to hold F10 at start-up and it takes you to system restore which yes "wipes everything clean"

 

Well i ran safe mode and tryed doing system restore. But it fails everytime.

 

Yep.. I suggest buying a recovery disk if you bought it from HP , go to their HP website.

 

This computer was bought used, Then i was working at a IT repair store and i stole a xp pro ID thing off an old computer cover. I have the code just not the CD.

 

when you startup and it shows you which F key to hit to open your BIOS. Press F10 or F11 depending on your comp. As the previous dude said it will always open a system restore, its not like the system restore that u can access from your desktop. It basically is a reformat, it takes everything off your comp, restores it as if you had just bought it. You wont need any CD's for your windows as it doesn't delete your windows. your just gonna lose everything else you have saved/installed on your computer. easiest solution unless your were find an xp recovery CD. if ya need help on how to do it gimme a pm and ill guide u through it.

What type of computer is it? If its an HP there is a way to reset to factory default which is basically reformatting.

 

I know, I made a guide on it. Its a compaq.

 

If you know anyone with a XP CD, just ask to borrow it...
