    Any Paintballers?

So do we have any paintballers here on sythe?

If so, where do you play and what type of paintball do you play?

If you don't, do you want to? or why not?

I just joined a team, after them seeing me play at a local speedball course. I should be playing in a tournament in a month or so. Hopefully I can get some footage of the tourny. I love getting people into the sport, it is pricey. It is a great sport, if you want some advice about deciding to go play, or what to avoid; anything along those lines, send me a PM or post, I am more then glad to help!

I used a paintball gun once and shot this guy in his balls. It was so funny!

    Any Paintballers?

I play with my friends at this abandoned farm house, has like eight chicken coops, four buildings, and a speedball area. It's a pretty cool course, I use a Stealth (bought it at Walmart) but its not complete shit.

We all start somewhere! I personally started with a tippman 98 custom. Its a great starting gun, its cheap, and it uses CO2 which is cheaper to refill then HPA. Now I am running a DM9 with DM5 as my back up gun.

    Any Paintballers?

I used to go to my friends and we'd have small wars. I was never a paintball fanatic since I didn't own one, but it was awesome having those wars with like 10+ people

    haha, shutup scammer!

Anyways, Yeah just playing rec is awesome, probably one of my favourite things to do outside of speedball. If it wasn't for the price of the sport so many more people would play.. Just hope it becomes bigger in the future!

    Any Paintballers?

I used to play on a small team, I played front for about 2 years. It's a pretty big dent in your wallet though, I would LOVE to get back playing but I'm currently working 40 hours and college on the way on top >_< . I loved playing, the most adrenaline pumping sport I have yet to play.

Is that DM9 a sponsored gun or your own gun? That is one expensive gun. I used to do speedball with a spyder electra with rocking trigger, and then for woodsball I would use an a5 or something similar.

no not sponsored, I have made money threw trades with people for guns, all the way starting with a up'd SP Ion, working my way up to a 06 ego, then sold that for 350, I also have a job that pays a good 10$/hour its decent. It was only for the summer but it gave me enough to invest in it, the DM5 I bought for extremely good offer.

    Any Paintballers?

If you wanna get good deals, you should totally try getting a part time job at like cousins paintball or high velocity...or any paintball place in your area for that matter. I used to work at cousins paintball back in the day (when I was 16 haha), and I used to always get hooked up there.

Alot of times people would just leave a case of paint or a bag or 2 in the rest area. . .if they forgot it or left it there on purpose I've got no idea. Paint is expensive too so we used it to practice with etc. . .Would find good pods laying out on the course from I guess when people where changing out forgot to pick it up at the end. Hooked myself up with HPA all the time, got in for free. And its great networking for paintball players, with getting different/better guns. Internals; people were always doing something to their gun and they're always looking to sell what they had in it before, sometimes the part was brand new but something NEWER just came out so they toss it.
+ its a great time because you already love the sport!

    Good luck with your tournie!

Sounds like your gun was just running out of air =). I don't think you would maim yourself though, I mean the only thing that can really hurt you is the tank. . .and those are tested before being sent out.

At my old job we had a busted 98 custom, we called it the ice thrower because as soon as you screwed the tank in it would just start blasting frozen c02 like 10 feet. . .alotta fun haha

Thanks man, but the rec course that is near me that I usually play it is completely family ran, it is also a shooting range. So you would probably need to be 18 like most jobs. Not many paintball stores around here, and the speedball course is 20 minutes away, not completely worth the drive everyday. I wished I lived in florida, huge paintball state.

Ohh damn, that kinda sucks. My place was a pretty good drive too. So did you coin any of the slick moves to wipe paint off you yet? Every good paintballer needs to have the wipe down haha.
