HELP: Java Indepentant study for school

So like. For reasons I do not wish to explain, I have to try and get my school to let me take an independent study... If they won't... Well. My life would suck horribly... So. I thought. Why the fuck not a java one... So... I need to write a fucking proposal or some shit... So. I need your guyses help. Lol.

I have 3 blocks, each one hour each week Id have to fill... This is for like 12 weeks about... So like. I need projects that focus on certain aspects that will help me better understand the shit... Like one a week... >_>.

So like. I need suggestions and shit... Help me please? Lol.

So you need 12 project idea's?

I'd try to organize it like this:
-2 on IO
-2 on AWT
-2 on Swing
-2 on Applets
-4 misc ones

For the misc ones, try some stuff like:
-1 on XML
-1 on regex
-1 on ImageIO
-1 on reflection

Good/bad idea?

 

Well I kinda need some specifics... So. Start thinking...

A nice one might be to make paint in java... Maybe thatl be my final project thing? D:

 

Make a word processor in Java, make a chat client, make a calendar in Java, make some board games like chess or checkers. All simple to an extent, but worth while for your class

So I could just make a ton of games... Lol... Any other simple ones? >_>.
