    Iphone Replacement

Alright well I got my Iphone as a Gift around January( still on warranty) this year and since last week the phone's had alot of problems the battery wont charge etc.. and the phone wont restore....

I was wondering if I can still take it to the Apple store for a replacement. I don't have the receipt also I don't know the name of the person who gave me it. But I'm the one who registered the phone on Apple, and its on warranty.

    Any help is appreciated,

I would go to the store and present it to them, in most cases they will just fix your phone for free.

thank you for the Reply I think I'm just going to book an appointment the only flaw is that the Apple shop is a good 1 hour drive from where I live and going there to be rejected will be a huge waste of time.

I went there yesterday and got my laptop fixed for free. (I live 5 minutes away, though). I would still try.

My phone didn't have insurance and I got a replacement 2 times because of malfunctions, as you're stating, but my phone is from sprint. Best bet is just to go to the apple store and ask them :)

    Good luck

You will more than likely get one for free if you go to an Apple Store. They will run a test on the phone and they will be able to see the problem, they will either fix it or give you a new one for free.

The people there are usually very nice and understanding. My aunt accidently washed hers and she explained the story to the guy working there and he filled out a report saying no water damage, technical error. And she got a brand new one for free.

Normally if you go into detail and make your problem sound legitimate as it is, their support will help you.

A lot of people lose/misplace info regularly. I wouldn't worry about it.

Wait. I got a question. I just bought a i phone 3gs 32 gigs off someone. the battery runs out quickly. I don't know if it has warranty. It's also jailbroken. Would they check to see if it was? and am I allowed to get a battery exchange?

Jailbroken phones drain battery very fast. But if you really want to you can restore your phone and then take it to apple.

What i do to conserve battery is turn brightness off along with having me phone auto lock at 1 minute. There are other tips online. If you restored and took it in and they found a problem with the battery yes they would replace it.

I'm not sure whether I should Jail-Break my New Iphone. Last time is bricked the fucker. Also Apple staff are elite! The guys like "Sorry for keeping you waiting" simple as. Don't hesitate to send in Jail broken/Unlocked phones/itouch, they don't do major research just a Serial Number check, connect and attempt to restore.
