Downloading and extracting a file via - WinRAR -

I looked for a while to try and see if this guide was already on here and I did not see anything similar to the guide I made today. Therefore I decided to make a guide on - Downloading WinRAR > Extracting a file -

    Do everything as shown -

    1. Download -

(Click the image above for the direct link to the site)

Now, I understand that once you get to the site there is so many other options and available downloads to click and you may get confused, just stay on track with the guide and I'll get you through all of that scary cluster on the site.

All you need to do is concentrate on the following image -

Now you can either go with the beta or the official release. its your choice.

    2. Installing -

Keep the directory the same and click install.

It will compile everything automatically then take you to -

Now for "Associate WinRAR with" JAR as well with ISO will be unmarked. You can choose to keep them on or off if you would like, personally I leave them off.

As for "Interface" I select all of the options.

For "Shell Integration" I leave it as is.

Once done click the "Ok" and this screen will pop up -

    Now you can click "Done"

    Congratulations you have downloaded -

    Now for the extracting -

This is easier then downloading the program itself.

    1. Find a file to download.

    I'll use...

    A file from deviantART -

Once you download a file you will see WinRAR as the file that will open the download once complete.

Once WinRAR opens the file you will be able to see what you downloaded -

Once you see this, the "..." means 'all'

To extract the file to a certain place click the 'Extract to' - once you have clicked this -

Once you click 'Extract to' all of the options where you can extract to will show up. Once you have found a good spot hit 'Ok.'

Well, that's the guide. Sorry it wasn't longer.

    Good luck.

    Any questions -

Good guide. A fairly simple task. Yet so many people don't know how to do it.
