Acorns is a new investment app that lets people automatically invest spare change from debit and credit card purchases.

What do I need to get started?

Once you download the Acorns app or sign up through our web app, you’ll need:

1. A valid email address where we can reach you and regularly send you account information.
   
   
2. Your online banking log in information to link your accounts to Round-Up spare change and to fund your investments.
   
   
3. If you don't bank with Bank of America, Chase, Citibank, PNC Bank, USAA, US Bank, US Navy Federal Credit Union, or Wells Fargo you'll also need your checking account number and routing number.
   
   
4. Your physical address--this should be your most permanent address since we can't accept a PO Box or business address.
   
   
5. Your Social Security Number.
   
   
6. General Profile Information like your financial goals, occupation and earnings. This will help us recommend the right portfolio for you.
   

After signing up, you may also need to upload a photo of your government-issued ID or other documentation that helps us verify your identity.

You will have to sign up through my referral link, and please make sure you meet the requirements. I am splitting proceeds 50/50, a fair split. This is contingent on 3 individuals all successfully signing up by 8/14 and investing $5. Your $5 from Acorns will be given to you upon investing $5. I will pay you (all 3 individuals) the $100 upon receiving the proceeds from Acorns.
