Everyone Is Banned

Hey,

I have been on hundred's of Forums in my time, played many different games.
But scyth is the only forums where i have realised that near enough everyone is banned? If i scroll through an old post, about 90% of the people are banned.

Is there a reason for this over popularity of ban's? Or is it just really easy to get banned?

 

Scammers, posting nudes, flaming, disrespect of admins, etc

 

Yes but why so many? If you go on say, the Real Life Picture Thread, basically.. Everyone is banned..

It's because this site attracts a lot of young runescape players for the black market. The market is often ripe with scamming opportunities so those who take advantage of that are banned.

 

Ok sorry bit of a dumb topic, Just noticed its allot more than any other forums really. But its obviously because this one has a darker audience

The reason most are banned are because there's 177,000 members registered. Of course there's going to be a lot of people banned.

 

Scamming is not the fault of the forum (or staff in the case of Sythe.org). It's the sole fault of it's inhabitants.

 

About 80% of the people who are banned have scammed. The rest just flammed to much.

 

They are mostly fucking scammers
and most just flame haha

 

A lot of young and immature RuneScape players come here to try and make a quick buck by scamming.

alot of people like to scam. the mods do a real good job of keeping up with this and banning those who are scammers.

but yeah scammers are EVERYWHERE. and because we have a cute little Report a scammer forum, those assholes get PERMABANNED

 

Yah, when my steam account got stolen, I was able to see the new account Nickname still. I googled that and it lead me here (Tipete has a page here for selling steam accounts). I am a little disappointed that he is still allowed on this site.

On a side note, don't deal with Tipete or K!ng. (same person)

 

Sythe's a very large website, and as articulated by Dropkick, the major demographic of this site is pre-pubescent Runescape players who haven't quite grasped morality yet.

 

As much as I'd like to joke around and say a major demographic of Sythe.org is pre-pubescent Runescape players that haven't grasped morality yet, that's not the case.

They're just kids (post-pobescent) who thrive on what I like to call "UGOFIRST &hurrieupz".

They thrive off people who don't know who to trust/when to trust who they know.

These post pubescent kids then get banned because they couldn't care less about anyone but themselves.

 

Because morons let them self get scammed then raise hell about it.

 

Around 14,000 people are banned, out of a member base of 170,000. That's less than 10%. It's not particularly substantial.
