Why teenagers drink

I drink now and then for the confidence boost really, im not a shy person but theres alot of things i wouldn't do sober, but when your a bit tipsy its just like, fuck it why not :embar:

 

parties are awkward as fuck because you are not good friends with everyone. So to be comfortable people get drunk and don't care as much. Makes logical sense. Plus it makes the experience so much more enjoyable... thats why sober gatherings always suck.

 

Ok, i rarely drink and i am 17 or 18 in a week so i will legally be able to drink in the united kingdom, and when im 18 i probably wont drink much either, i think its a social aspect drinking. Also you look at places like spain which don't really care about underage drinking, you dont see the local kids getting smashed and roaming the streets at night, so i think its the fact that teenagers arent allowed it and its an act of rebellion.

 

Am i the only who who drinks because it tastes nice? lolol.

If i go to a party ill drink enough to feel relaxed and happy, but no more, i mean whats the point in trying to score with some chick, and being too pissed to remember doing it

 

Hmmmmmm, i couldn't say i drink ALOT. But i drink because i enjoy it. Most people drink and it isn't because of peer pressure, it's just a way to go out and have fun. I just feel i'll have a better time whilst drinking, i don't smoke etc so one bad thing is ok.

 

I've never tasted an alcoholic drink. Never put a cigarette past my teeth. Most definitely have I not done any thing other than these.

It makes parties more fun as everyone is looser and usually friendlier.

I don't understand why people say "there is no need to drink."

Drinking in moderation is not bad for you.

 

I wouldn't say it takes away awkwardness. It just makes social interaction a little easier... I don't NEED alcohol to have fun or interact, but I do because why make it hard on yourself when you don't have to?

 

We drink because we are teenagers. We experiment while we are young. It is in our nature to try new things. Alcohol adds vibe to parties and in essence - creates a better time.

Teenagers drink to fit in pretty much or its just a socializing thing to do.
Pretty much most teenagers drink just to get drunk for the first time.
