Java won't work on linux for me

Whenever i download it it comes up with an error message what do i do

 

Can anyone help me with this?

 

Well, i'm no java expert, however i have switched to linux recently. I can run java apps. On ubuntu goto Applications > Add / Remove

Make sure show is set to All available applications

and search java, check the one you want and click apply.

 

LMAO. You probably downloaded the Windows one lel.

 

ok simple way, On my linux I always go in under "root" so i will be doing on the username Root.

Step 1 -
Open up a terminal

Should Say - USERNAME@PC-NAME:

Step 2: -
Now i found the easyest way is to make the Terminal go to the Folder i was working on so, I am making an "GE Price Grabber".

So i will set my Terminal to (Also I am working on folder on my desktop)

"cd /root/Desktop/GE" - now i orignal named it "GE Grabber but has problums with it beacuse off the spaces to I just named it "Ge"

Step 3 -
The java file now i have compiled it i want to run is called grwindows.java

so in my termainal now i have made by terminal go to the DIR of the folder i now type simple

java grwindows

DONT ADD THE .JAVA AT THE END OFF THE FILE OR IT WONT WORK.

DONE

So now it says

root@PC-Name:~/root/Desktop/GE# java grwindows

now it will open
